Beyond Knowing or Seeing - A Powerful, Powerfuls, and Son

Switch Looked around him and gently backed away at the site of the cave.
Something about it was telling him to... leave?
He wasn't welcome, yet the aura in the air seemed to greet and respect him.

[Guest]

On the way to this cave-looking entrance, it seemed that Despairingcall's eyes had grown brighter and brighter. Now that they were here, his eyes seemed fully illuminated.
"It is time to enter, Switch." He looked down at his son, a small proud smile and a knowing, wise look in his eyes making his expression.

OOC: I dont usually RP by the seat of my pants... LS is helping me with the plot here...

Switch followed his fathers gaze. Then swallowed, A cat can be scared with dignity, He told himself standing tall, feeling a breeze of cold groom his fur. He entered...

OOC: all is well BTW I have a lil' idea whats going to happen but i'll make a fool of one's self.

[Longstorm]

OOC: 'by the seat of my pants'?... lay off the happy juice, switchy.

"Come forth, youngling," a vague yet somewhat familiar voice called - it was like a cat calling from a million miles away, but at the same time it was being whispered into Switch's ear.
Whatever Despairingcall was hearing, it was similar.

[Loki]

Switch took a gentle breathe in. He padded forward feeling tension, excitement and resentment prick at his fur.

OOC: SOOOOooo... tired....

[Guest]

Despairingcall waited a few moments after Switch had entered, then entered the maze that was the hidden tunnels.
He took the twisting turns with ease - he'd been down here so many times, it was hard to forget.
Despairingcall knew which way his son was going, and if he couldn't find the Chamber of the Moon, then the other Powerfuls would send their whispers.

Despairingcall, having taken a direct route, appeared in the Chamber. He looked at Searingeyes and Soulvoider, nodding to them.

[Loki]

Switches ears flicked. One minute he would see light the next he could not.
He looked around himself and sighed. "What have I walked into?"
He paused and a single drop of water fell on his pelt. He jumped foreward and sped through
the tunnels, every so often another drip until... He was tired but the route was becoming direct
and a familiar scent coming to his nostrils...

[Guest]

Despairingcall let out a heavy sigh, looking at Searingeyes and murmuring,
"Any word from Them?"

[Loki]

OOC: am I supposed to be getting to you guys or....
IC:
Switch felt his paws itch with anxiety. If he called out for help... No I mustn't do that! He told
himself and raced on.

[Runfast]

OOC: Very soon.

Soulvoider's ears were pricked towards the multiple entrances to the Chamber.
"He'll be here soon," he murmured.
The chamber was mostly natural, a large stone cave underground, but some of it was made of packed dirt. But, for the most part, stone - Soulvoider's murmurs had an odd echo that didn't quite reach the tunnels.

Switch found himself aimlessly wondering. Was it sun down? Were they looking for me? Why did his father lead him there?
For what seemed to him like ongoing hours... were actually around half of one hour. He felt the dirt beneath his paws soften, the dripping of his pack often until it halted and never began again, fate?, Was that his power, He thought. Fate isn't a power fate is fate yet... He seemed to feel an opening and then....

[Longstorm]

Searingeyes looked to Despairingcall and nodded once, his eyes glowing as brightly as the moon in the night.
"It'll be alright," he whispered, his voice echoing out of the Chamber and down the tunnels, the words rushing around Switch like a gentle, but attention-commanding wind. To Switch, the words were distorted, Searingeye's voice joined by many others.
Searingeyes looked up at the cave walls, looking at the familiar markings all over them.

[Loki]

Switch heard the distorted mew and bolted towards it until. He saw what the powerfuls saw. He was looking up and there... The familiar faces he knew...

[Longstorm]

From their position on the 'shelf', the Powerfuls looked down at Switch.
"The King," Searingeyes broke the silence, his voice echoing harshly. "His Advisor. His Heir." Searingeyes walked along the ledge (it went all the way around) and pointed to the cats in order:
A small tom in shadows, the only real detail on the picture was the icey blue eyes, a single white paw, and massive tog-tooth claws. The next, a large white tom with massive shoulders and harsh amber eyes. The last, another small tom - a bit larger than the first - who's back paws were white, and he had dog-teeth claws and dark blue eyes.
Searingeyes sat beneath a picture that looked much like himself. Searingeyes was in the shadows, only his gold eyes shining out.
"Your thoughts?"

[Loki]

OOC: you have me stuck here lol

IC: Switch regarded the pictures. He bowed his head in turn to all of them.
"To serve with my life, Powerful."

[Longstorm]

Searingeyes looked to his comrades, an amused smile quirking the side of his mouth. Somehow, he landed with grace unlike any other cat most have seen. He looked Switch in the eyes and gestured for him to join him by his side. He had something to say.

[Loki]

Switch confusedly came closer to the powerfuls side.

[Longstorm]

Searingeyes led Switch across the Chamber, gesturing to the paintings on the walls.
"Switch, in the days of the King it was decided that the secrets of the clans and their ancestors should not be kept by the King alone. Thus, he went into his Kingdom, his Advisor at his side, and he sought out cats who were loyal and just, those who's opinions were not easily swayed."
He pointed to mural that depicted the small shadowed cat walking side-by-side with the large white tom, many cats looking down on them with warm expressions. "When he found such cats, he told them of Those Above, and their promises. He told them... everything." Searingeyes paused for a moment and went on. "He gathered to him; Solomon and his two kits... Dante, with his son and nephew... And Saren, with his brother." He looked up at another mural and murmured, "They joined the King, with him and his trusted Court Members, and Council Members." He looked at Switch. "Have an idea where I am going with his?" He waited, the area around his eyes looking relaxed and friendly, an stark contrast to his stoic expression.

[Loki]

OOC: ahh I am too stupid to do that...

IC:
Switch, nodded. He did. was it something to with a secret comunity? The powerfuls? What would Searing eyes say if he were wrong?

OOC: You could play swith on areas where i'll post short like ^ that... PWEEEAASE

[Longstorm]

OOC: Ah, I'm always freaked to use someone else's charrie...

IC: Searingeyes looked at him and mewed in his normal, soft, less-serious voice,
"There is no wrong answer."

[Loki]

OOC: just where my retardation kicks in... places where I have to use my brain haha

IC:
Switch looked and mewed, " The King, Got a secret community of his strongest and most loyal cats... and they were. (OOC: I haven't a cluehaha) his powerfuls, The one's who he told everything to, they taught Scar?"

[Longstorm]

Searingeye's partial smile grew for a moment then went back to what it had been.
"Yes," he said with a nod. "Nearly correct.. This 'secret community,' as you call it, was from then on known only as the Inner Circle. These cats, not including the King, were brought before Those Above and judged. Some were proven unworthy. But seventeen others were proven worthy." He now turned to look at Switch, his eyes holding wisdom and a knowledge that felt could never be matched. "Tonight, Switch, son of Despairingcall, is your turn." He looked to the pile of leaves and cobwebs atop a large, flat-topped boulder.

[Loki]

Switch's eyes grew wide,but he remained calm, it was to be done...

[Runfast]

Soulvoider silently joined his brother-by-clan, looking at the leaf-pile. Slowly, and purposely, he climbed up the boulder. He looked down at Switch and mewed,
"Switch. You have been chosen by the Three. The Three have existed before The Kingdom, before Scourge even thought of liberating the Forest of Legend. Though you will never be a Powerful, the abilities you have found within your heart will increase - but only, only if the King approves."
With a quick sweep of his tail, the leaves and cobwebs were gone, and beneath them was a beautiful, though shattered stone. "You've heard the tales, have you not? The ones kits are raised on, stories of the King and his travels through the Forest..."
