"I know. It'll last for a time, causing many changes. But Abyssclan will survive." He looked at Switch and winked. "And so will we. We Circle members have thought long and hard on ways to get out of these tunnels. Follow me." He shouldered past Despairingcall and took a sharp turn into one of the many tunnel openings, it going deep into the ground. The other two Powerfuls followed.

Despairingcall chuckled, pushing through thick cobwebs and minding his step on the steep incline.
"Searingeyes," he called quietly - if he had called aloud his voice would have echoed in a deafening way - and his voice echoed up to the named tom. "We haven't used this exit in some time, have we. Feeling nostalgic?"

Searingeyes chuckled ever so slightly.
"Perhaps. It happens with old age, you know." The tunnel was pitch black now, but Searingeye's pawsteps never wavered.

Switch, who took his place in front of the other three powerful, though padded behind Searingeyes- thought to himself quietly. Was he going to be announced as an ember, or was it all a secret? His heart shrunk a bit, that effort would be tragic... Would they mind if Joy new... Why are you thinking about... he sighed, Joy was his adviser, though she never followed her own advice.

IC: After a time of walking in darkness, one sharp turn and *LIGHT*. Searingeyes blinked in the falling snow which hadn't even begun to cover the protected entrance.
"We're at the bottom of the hill," he mewed. Searingeyes looked up the hill, thinking about the walk ahead of them. He looked back and mewed, "We may as well start up now, before this storm gets any worse."

The cold was like a sharp whip upon Switchs small body, though the young tom stood well against it, he wasn't going to loose to cold water! (wait for his last ironic twist) he padded forward and looked around. Something wasw wrong in the air...

OOC: You'd think Switch would find it odd that the Powerfuls speak of old age when none of them are over the age of four.

Searingeyes fluffed out his sleek, youthful fur against the cold.
"If it gets any worse," he called over the wind as he began to walk up, "I know of many good places for shelter on the way."

Switch blinked, These cats were always talking of the old days. Yet... never would he have thought they looked over the age of four. He blinked and looked at his paws, dare he ask?
He blinked, And live with no ears? I don't think so. Switch looked up they had started off without him! He hurried on to catch up.

Switch looked back at the black powerful. "Better then I thought I would be..." He mewed trying to be as serious looking as the others. He had to! He was now an Ember of not some silly choosing. He needed to be serious.

Switch's tail flicked. It seemed like he was beginning to fit in. He padded faster, he wasn't going to be slow because of a bit of snow. So he put in his up most effort and felt good for it. As Joy had said, "You can only help yourself." He shook his head, he wasn't going to rid himself of thinking of her this time. The sun was shining and the blizzard soothing, It was going to be good for the rest of today... though only today.

Good to see you, Runny. It's been a week and all, and we missed you!

IC: After a fine time of walking in silence, Searingeyes looked through the storm, his eyes glowing in a wondering gold. They'd been walking for about 3 sun shifts (not including resting periods), and the storm seemed to be letting up
"We should be at the camp in... Oh, a few more Shifts?" He looked back and shrugged, mewing, "I want to be back for the ceremonies."

Searingeyes gave his slight smile, it showing more in his eyes as usual.
"It's a fine day to become a Warrior," he mewed softly then resumed walking.

IC: By the time they reached the entrance to the camp, the sun had set, the storm had lifted, and the moon had begun to rise. They had rested for certain periods of time, even slept since they hadn't been resting while visiting the Realms of the Dead.
Searingeyes looked at Switch and mewed,
"You best groom yourself - they've begun to gather for the Ceremony... Your ceremony." Searingeyes slunk in, the Powerfuls following.
