Lokistar; Solarstorm and Darkcloud padded into the clearing. Lokistar's sides heaved as she yowled, "ALL cats old enough to catch their own prey WILL come to join me beneath the high oak!!" she sounded strained and angry.

Lokistar looked down as she watched her warriors pour in. Tigerflame, Oakclaw, Solarstorm, Nightail and even the kits. She looked up, Ashfall was in the med cat den and Dayriser? she hadn't a clue.
"Cats of Tawnyclan," She mewed, "As you all know, no cat lives forever. Some live longer some shorter. I myself have been leader for some time but... It is becoming critical I choose a deputy..."

"The time has come to appoint a new deputy. I say these words before StarClan, that the spirits of our ancestors may hear and approve my choice. " She paused for a moment...

Wolfkit,Sunkit,Fawnkit and Dewkit all looked up in awe at their clan mates, Who will be deputy? Will the Deputy take Lokistars place? They didn't know they were just kits but the feeling scared them. Fawnkit and Dewkit were smaller and younger than Wolfkit and Sunkit who announced that they were a moon old today.

Solarstorm looked at his sister part of him was hopeful but... wouldn't she have told him? He looked at her, she wasn't a cat of surprise.

Darkcloud looked at Lokistar she wanted to be deputy as much as any cat. But she was too old now and her age would kill her before even getting near the moon fall.

Tigerflame looked eagerly at his leader though knew that beind a deputy was a long way away from him.

Solarstorm and Darkcloud exchanged a glance of shock.
Wolfkit and sunkit cheered happily and Nightail gave a cheer.
Tigerflame mewed a congratulations as Lokistar watched them with a tint
of enjoyment in her eyes.

Lokistar gave a hiss. Agitated and angry. "Ezzieday was my apprentice, I spoke to her a while back and I beleive she will be greater then I one day." She stood looking down at her warriors, "Speak now if you disagree!"
Solarstorm sat he didn't disagree he just... well he didn't like this idea.
"I disagree!" Spat Darkcloud, "She has never finished with her apprentice yet
and She has not been a warrior for long. Your basically killing us Lokistar!" There were few murmurs of agreement. Lokistar looked down on her. "I beleive that Ezzieday can bring tawnyclan back to life... I know she is not as experianced as_", "Solarstorm, Dayriser, Oakclaw,myself or Tigersoul?"

Sunkit turned to his brother."Daystar was her apprentice too!And look at him now!He could've been deputy a LONG time ago,but she's like,'No,he isn't ready.'Ezziesong isn't even close to done with her apprentice!Dayriser wouldv'e made the best choice,but he's missing at the moment,so I'll rule that out..."

Wolfkit being the listener shook his head. "I think there was a reason why Lokistar never accepted Daystream. Darkcloud always yowls on about the times he's nearly got killed by badgers and that... Maybe Lokistar thought it was too much for Daystar I mean He goes too far anyway. And your right He has became a good leader and so will Ezziday. Thing is, has Lokistar ever been doubted by Ezziday, I have never seen Ezziday panic."

Tigerflame spat, "You have not had an apprentice yet Oakclaw."
Lokistars yowl broke through the cats.
"I have seen Ezziday and Stormpaw training, what I saw was a noble cat who looked as if she had been training many apprentices before. She has the whit of a fox and the strength of a badger. You shall obey Ezzieday until I know for sure she is the right deputy," Lokistar hissed the deal as if her mind was far made up.

"I wonder what Daystar's like now.When do we have our apprentice cerimony?"asked Sunkit.
