Heatwave, Wildfire of Mudbloodclan Empty Heatwave, Wildfire of Mudbloodclan

Post by Loki Thu Nov 10, 2011 11:10 pm

Warriors, the lone fighters of Mudbloodclan began to spread the flames. The rain that had began to shower the grounds of the lowlands had stopped shortly after the finishing of the clan's gathering, much to the fortune of the Mudbloodclan cats. These rains would not come back till later (OOC: Says loki who does not pertmit, anyone to start the weather until my say).

The higher in the mountains they went, the less they could burn. That was fine, for anything burnable was to be burnt. They burnt the scrub that grew on an old track. A conifer that grew alone on a ledge was set alight.
If it had not been for the hot days before; the shower would be spoiling their fun.

A Ginger tom with two white back paws, studied his doing. The conifer crackled and crunched. The tom turned and began to go upwards to meet with the usual mob he socialized with.
"Ithe be harth to burn thingths inth the mountinth..." A small white and calico she-cat meowed, which was muffled with a stick in her jaws.

The ginger tom known as: Winzit, nodded appreciatively. All the young warriors were sent to Darkclan for they were faster and could escape most easily.
Winzit saw a nice thistle and began to attempt to burn it. The calico she-ca, Siril, was attempting to burn some thicket.

They looked around them and little smokey clouds began to haunt the sky around them. The thistle had withered black and a little flame began to travel along a stick and dried grass.
"Its about to begin..." He muttered proudly.

OOC: If you got a cat to use in Mudbloodclan then you have permission to rp a warrior, but only as a side character.

Meanwhile...

Part of the patrol of Darkclanners heading home from the traumatic Gathering, Smokepelt scented something odd.
Lightingpelt, his golden-pelted littermate, scented it as well. "What is that?" The gray tom looked at the she-cat and shrugged, worry flickering in his eyes.
"Redstar," Smokepelt called to the front as he pushed past FLowerfoot and Hollowstripe. "There's a strange scent coming from the Northwest."

Cats around began to purr and laugh with enthusiasm.. (OOC: LOL!)

Meanwhile...

Overhearing Smokepelt, Hollowstripe opened her mouth and brought in the scents, there was an awkward smell that burned her nostrils " Yea, I smell it too" She murmured, glancing at the small, thin cloud in the sky.

Redstar looked over his shoulder at the warrior. "What?" It was mostly said to himself as he turned to face the wind. He breathed in deeply, opening his mouth to taste the scent. "I... recognize that."
Goldpaw, who'd been walking near him looked at his uncle quizzically. "From where, uncle?"
The red tom shook his head. "I'm not sure." He closed his eyes, padding forward a step or two in his effort. A long minute later, his amber eyes snapped open. "Fire?"
He sprinted a few fox-lengths down the mountain for a better look. Indeed, near the bottom of their mountain, smoke was rising and a faint glow illuminated the night sky. "FIRE!"
Goldpaw looked shocked. "Wait - fire? The thing lightning makes when it hits a dry tree? But it was raining harder than a tree falls only an hour ago!"
Redstar's ears flattened. "There's something strange about this." Ah, paranoid Darkclan. "Let's check it out."

Post by Guest Tue Nov 15, 2011 2:01 am

Rainfoot's ears flattened at the foreign word 'fire'.
Fires rarely broke out in the mountains. The most Darkclan knew about fire was a time when a patrol that was overseeing the departure of Tawnyclan warriors found the forest of Tawnyclan burning, and that was a long time ago.
"What do we do when we get there," asked the young spotted warrior as he began to sprint down the mountain.

OOC: Someone get whoever plays Limitpaw in here - wasn't he invited to the Gathering too?

Redstar was leading the stream of running cats, "Mud," he called to Rainfoot (couldn't they use some rain right about now), "throw mud onto it and hope it begins to rain soon!"

Goldpaw was tingling with anticipation - a strange new enemy? Bring it on. Goldpaw felt like he could take on the entire territories, his long, orange fluffy tail streaming out behind him, his fine whiskers flattened to his face with his speed. Yes, he was ready to be a warrior.

Redstar's mind was awhirl with conspiracy theories and worry. It was inconceivable that the forest could even catch fire at this point - could someone have done it? How?
He just hoped it didn't get so bad that twolegs would have to come in.

IC: Smokepelt and Lightningpelt had wings for paws and they ran astride with the others in the patrol. They would be there in minutes at this rate, running downhill.

Hollowstripe saw the eagerness in Goldpaw as she strode past him " Save that energy for the battle!" She called sarcastically. But that sarcasm vanished with concern and fright for the lives of the clans.

OOC: @Switchfar; Limitpaw is played by BP, But he says he can be only one on Wednesdays and the Weekends.

Not too far away was the awaiting platoon 4. General Frost watched coolly, a grin appearing on his face.
"Send for the warriors further on and tell them that the Darkclan cats are arriving."
She looked exasperatedly at him but turned and charged off, she was fairly fast but for the news to
arrive before they...
He whipped around and hopped up towards the track of which the Darkclan cats were closing in from.
His platoon coming after him, though their paws were clumsy on the harder ground which was different to
their sticky red clay.

OOC: I like describing my cats. Very Happy

IC: The figure of a cat from Darkclan was very basic; broad chests and shoulders, short bodies, small, pointed heads, and large, thick-furred paws. Perfect for a cat who lived in the treacherous mountains - also a sight to behold when it was coming straight towards you down a hill at top speed.
Rainfoot was more then ready to battle the cats he saw at the bottom of the hill - "Intruders!" he screeched at the top of his lungs, as his size allowed him to overtake even Redstar.

Redstar snarled at the sight of the strange cats - but then their scent came to him on the wind, the smoke of the fire almost covering it.
"Mudbloodclan," and as they had reached the intruders, Redstar leaped at the nearest one - they were on the slope, higher up than the cats in their territory, the classic 'death from above' move.

Goldpaw let out a battle cry the best his voice would allow - he didn't know it now, but Redstar would tell him later that his voice had developed to sound almost identical to Thornstar's, and his battle cry was more than adequate.
"For Darkclan," he yowled and settled for continuing his charge, aiming to ram into one of the intruders at top speed.

Jara gave a howl of shock as the red tom's weight crashed down on top of him.
In these circumstances the Darkclan cats were on the upper paw. They were well built
and on the higher side of the track.
General Frost gave a shrill laugh and un-sheafed his claws, aiming a swift blow at Redstar.
Yomi reared on his hind legs and hissed flashing out sharpened claws at the nearest passer by.

OOC: Just using names so you know what's what.

IC: After crashing into Jara, Redstar had basically somersaulted once with the tom - at the stop, Redstar reared at and clapped his large paws together, aiming to double-box Jara's head.

Goldpaw struck one cat and lashed out at another - then spotted a strange cat trying to claw his uncle. "Redstar," he yowled, bulldozing his way to General Frost.

Lightningpelt and her nimble paws sent her dancing around Yomi, crouching and letting out a long, insulting hiss just out of his reach.

Smokepelt stayed near his sister, making sure no one came from behind, snarling and bringing down heavy paws on the heads of whoever was nearest.

Yoki turned and launched himself at Goldpaw while Yomi hissed and bounced about with frustration; as the flames grew.
Another tom known as Snip kicked his back legs to the ground, flicking dirt and loose gavel into the faces and eyes of the cats about him.

Frost twisted and snarled knocking off Redstar from the youngest of his platoon. To his dismay; Jara's neck had snapped on the impact of the tom.
He howled in frustration and reared striking sharp claws to the tom's face.

Redstar snarled, whipping his head back - the General's claws still scored his cheek and around his eyes; there'd probably be a pretty scar later in life (if I live past this fight). The red tom 'danced' back then lunged forward - football tackle that Darkclan just seemed to take to when they fought on their own land.

Goldpaw gave out an angered yowl as he was brought down from the side in his run to get to Redstar. In his tumble, he spotted Redstar fighting to cat who was going to get him from behind. Stupid me, my uncle can handle himself - I'm like a mummy bird... Goldpaw twisted in the other cat's grasp and aimed to sink his fangs in the intruder's shoulder.

Post by Meany Fri Nov 18, 2011 1:46 am

Smokepelt was among those that caught dirt to the eyes (no doubt some intruders accidentally caught the dirt - Darkclan liked fighting up close and personal, forcing their enemies to stay packed in) and let out a pained yowl, pawing at his face and turning away. He still lashed out with his eyes blinking rapidly and watering.

Lightningpelt smiled mockingly and froze, only her fur moving with the wind. Suddenly, she leaped, dropped and slithered forward, flipping over to her side, lashing and biting up at the tom's throat.
It was a surprising move that only senior warriors knew. If the move went wrong, the worst she'd get was a crippling blow to the shoulder if she couldn't roll away fast enough.

Yoki let out a short cry of shock and pain. He scrabbled clumsily on top of Goldpaw trying to get a nice grip and attempted to sink his claws into the fleshy underbelly.
Frost felt the incredible force impact upon his body and sent a quick 'cheers' to Those Bellow for his large size and pushed forward, well- attempting to- and lunged out occasionally.
Claws, a bulky tabby tom, clumsily jumped over from behind Smokepelt and made to knock the other down.
Yomi was quite so lucky here as he had stumbled back in the shower of gravel. He ducked and turned to nip Lighteningpelt's tail.

OOC: Nice - we're about even - I thinkour line-up is: Limitpaw, Goldpaw, Hollowstripe, Redstar, Smokepelt, Lightingpelt. Maybe one other, dunno.

IC: Redstar snarled, ducking a hit, lashing his tail. "Knew you were trouble," he snarled to the cat before him, referring to Mudbloodclan in general. The red tom slowly circled, looking for any weaknesses - maybe looking to trip him from behind. "Why are you doing all of this? What's your end-plan?"

Goldpaw shrieked in pain as Yomi's claws made contact with the exposed flesh of his belly and feebly lunged backwards, catching his breath. He was bleeding, yes - but he could fight past it, he knew he could. He was one of the best young fighters in his entire Clan, and he was going to be a warrior.
And Starclan is on my side! Taking heart, he aimed an heavy claws-unsheathed paw at his enemy's face, wanting to drive every last one of these intruders from his land.

Frost suppressed his laughter weakly and mewed warily, "It isn't your clan in general,friend..." He narrowed his eyes, "We are simply following orders."
Yoki howled with terror as he felt the claws cross paths with his face and fell back for a moment, wracking his paws irritably over his face.
When he looked up, he'd almost lost his left eyes and a large gash appeared across the bridge of his muzzle.
He jumped forward, Snarling mutinously and aimed swift blows, left, right and center; he couldn't care less!

(hehe- yoki and yomi are confusing!)

OOC: Hehe - whoops.

IC: Redstar's eyes narrowed, black in the light of the flickering flames. "Why - who. Who would want this?"

Goldpaw pressed forward, claws flashing in a fury. He dodged and countered a few blows but he took a fair amount of scratches and the occasional shallow gash to his face (I'm gonna be ugly after this, no doubt) - that made him think of the she-cats his age back home.
Not Hollowstripe, though. He didn't like her too much.
Getting his head back in the game, Goldpaw let out another battle cry during his continuing attack.

Lightningpelt snarled as her opponent nipped her tail and whirled around, planning to stomp on him.

Smokepelt could see! Of course, this happened as Claw knocked him over.
The gray tom squirmed and did his best to flip on his back to kick the enemy away.

OOC: excuse my late entrance. Loki, could you please PM me about fallenwing's platoon, and the strategy...

IC: Hollowstripe was clinging on the back of an enemy, not showing any signs of stopping, she kept biting into his fur and raking her claws to maintain grip. Of all the day to have a battle, she angrily growled in her mind, as she bit hard enough, the salty tang of blood just barely swept into her mouth, but she only held on longer, until the tom awkwardly dashed intensely close to the flames and she was forced to jump off.

Heatwave, Wildfire of Mudbloodclan Empty Re: Heatwave, Wildfire of Mudbloodclan

Post by Loki Fri Nov 18, 2011 9:17 pm

Frost suddenly became quite fractious as he had said 'who'.
"Who?" he grumbled, "The lord of course but ahh! I'm forgetting my manners, The Lord is much
more merciful then I."
As he'd said it five cats appeared from their left, no doubt more Mudbloodclan cats but these were tired and
injured quite so. They scouted round the fighting cats quickly, the two warriors went to attack Hollowstripe,
the siblings Clay and May hissed daringly at passers and as the angry looking general Twitcher came close,
Frost mewed nervously to him, "Your platoon? Where are the rest of them?"
"This was all left," Replied Twitcher remorsefully. "Two a mine and two warriors_"
"Out of the seventeen sent there!?" Roared Frost letting his dusty amber eyes slide from Redstar to the lower built tom.

"Did you get anything done?" He hissed accusingly.
"Not in my self... I lent paw in chasing down the runners but it'd seem they knew the forest better-"
"For the sake of-"
"Oh, but the leader is dead," He said reassuringly, "She and three of her warriors, down and out."
"So how did-"
"The forest, I was lucky myself but the flames have engulfed all, the clan must be dead, Stormclaw and his platoon in suit if you will."
Frost saw that as a promotional opportunity and hissed to Twitcher, "Go then, take your left overs to Abbysclan, I have no need for you assistance whilst Fallenwing is coming, he should be here quite soon..."
Twitcher went to protest, "You can't order-"
"Oh I can, You heard the lord. Your platoon is your line, with only two left out of the good cats you had you'll be skinned alive if you don't do something productive!"

Twithcher left, with Clay and May for Abbysclan, tails low as they streaked off.

Frost turned, "I could do a bargain- I can assure you even in the dim light of defeating us, you will be crushed by what we have in store for you next. It would seem that the crooked, old, dim witted," He took satisfaction in cursing them,"-Leader of... The forest clan has fallen as has her clan. You are supremely out numbered and out matched."
He flexed and rolled his muscles, "Why not join us?"

Yomi got a good smack over the head but came forward to head butt her, snarling and spitting as he came by.

Claws felt the tom he had fallen onto writhe out from beneath him and received scratches and kicks across his flank in a futile attempt to gain distance while Claw's claws were gripping the ground. He wished to feel blood in his jaws as he snapped at Smokepelt.

Yoki seemed to be pushing forward and then back as his enemy screamed at him.
I'll break his jaw! He thought furiously after a quick moment of shock.
He aimed carelessly at him and bounced forward with a roar of contempt.

Lightingpelt whined as she was dazed, pawing the ground and backing away as she waited for her head to clear. "Ahh - not fair," she sounded like a whiny apprentice - this was pretty much routine for her in battle. She was the she-cat with a mouth, but she got the job done. As her vision cleared (though her head was still fuzzy), she set her claws into the ground, crouching and baring her teeth with a ferocious snarl.

Smokepelt reared up to protect his neck, jerking to the left and coming down, feinting right, left, right - then aimed to strike to the right, heavy paws ready to move on to another opponent.
