Entering Abyssclan

[Longstorm]

Standing at the border, Jace and Tala looked at each other nervously.
"Well," Jace gulped, "I guess we have to cross."

Tala nodded.
"I guess you're right," she was as nervous as he was.

The two both took deep breaths, crossed one step over, and winced, waiting.
Nothing. The two opened their eyes and laughed.
"I guess it's okay," Jace laughed.

Tala didn't say anything, just laughed in her hoarse voice, and began walking.

"Uh- wait!" Jace followed. "Where are you headed? You don't know your way around, do you?"

"When I was a youngster, a cat named Hawking-something or other showed me one of the entrances to the tunnels under Abyssclan. Now, if I'm not mistaken, it should still be there..."

A Short While later...

"Ah, here it is," Tala mewed proudly. Hidden beneath a bush was a gaping hole. Faint scents of strange dust and dried fruit came from it.

"I remember those scents from my dream," Jace exclaimed.

Tala nodded.
"My nose isn't as good as it once was, youngster, so you take the lead, will you."

Jace looked at the she-cat from the corner of his eye and mewed,
"You just don't want to walk in the pitch black."

Tala nodded.
"Of course not! Now, come on."

Jace rolled his eyes but smiled, and lead the way.

Commons had watched in horror when the two cats crossed into Abyssclan - why were they going there, of all place!!?! No matter, she told herself. Commons had to follow them and put a stop to this! Taking a deep breath, she crossed the border and followed them into the tunnels.
