On the Way to Abyssclan

Across the mountains of darkness lies the fallen moon.
Return it to it's home to save all that you hold true.

Gingerleaf was running, running, heading towards Abyssclan. At his side was Sparrowhawk, from Dewclan, and trailing them were cats from each Clan but Abyssclan. It was... exhilarating. To be given a task by his ancestors, to be traveling in secret with enemies!
He inhaled deeply, focusing himself.

[Guest]

"Mother, I can't keep up!" Frostkit squeaked. They were running with the group to Abbysclan, even IF it was dangerous. Garnetheart scooped up his kit and let her ride on his back.
"Can I get a ride too?" Silverkit asked.
"Are you having trouble keeping up?" Pigeonwing asked.
"Yes!" she meowed, and purposely tripped.
She got up when she saw Pigeonwing continue pushing forward.
"Wait for me!" she squeaked.

[Loki]

Sparrowhawk looked forward, this would bring so much unknown future... This prophecy.
what was they to do? It seems like the ancestors who gave them the prophecy were not
Starclan but stronger, powerful but who? What was this quest going to bring? The truth is
he did no know...

Bluepaw and Icepaw ran along beside Garnetheart, Pigeonwing and his family.

[Guest]

Redkit ran as fast as his tiny little paws could take him. "Mommy, where are we going?" he asked as he sprinted past some trees.

Hollypaw bounded along towards Gingerleaf. She just followed him because she didn't know the way.

[Meany]

Snowfeather ran after the group of cats. She easily caught up to Sparrowhawk and Gingerleaf mewing,
"When we reach the border, we should leave the parents and the kits on the safe side of the border."

Blackfire, on her tail, mewed,
"I agree. And the inexperienced apprentices, as well."

[Loki]

Sparrowhawk nodded his head.
"Knowing Abbysclan, as soon as we have crossed that border... They won't hesitate to kill," He then concluded, "Abbysclan seem to be close combat, so if we stay our distance... Their claws are the only thing we have to watch out for."

Sinewpaw looked down, he silently hated Dewclan, His mother didn't. No... Lokistar didn't hate much, but if Dewclan weren't so weak, then perhaps... He looked up to the never ending darkness of the night's sky... perhaps father would still be alive.

[Meany]

Blackfire mewed,
"There is the possibility that the patrol will have passed, but we should remain vigilante."

Snowfeather giggled, the excitement of it all finally getting to her.

Sparrowhawk nodded and continued forward in silence as they went through the night.

The red blood mud that covered these lands was already forgotten as the cat passed into the
cut fields which would lead them to the Abbysclan land. The wind whipped their faces and the young nettles caught their paws and fur, wet areas hard to avoid when cats were running all in the same direction but it was fun, they were all together and something told Sinewpaw that this was for a good reason.

[Runfast]

Mistlight ran behind Garnetheart, Pigeonwing, Brambleleaf, and the kits. She was staying behind not because she was slow, but because she was watching the kits. Hey, she was a medicine cat. Of course, she was watching everyone else. Watching to see if they tripped, if they treaded on a sharp object, if they became trapped in the mud.

Mosspaw, alongside Sinewpaw, mewed,
"Do you think we'll see some Abyssclannians?"

[Loki]

Sinewpaw making an 'almighty' leap onto a rock and taking a quick glance of their where abouts joined Mosspaw and answered, "I don't think so... it doesn't seem it but its late, and... they probably passed as.... um.... Black..fire, Blackfire, said. If we do then their in trouble," He mewed determinedly and flexed his claws. He already guessed that in this journy, Mosspaw would be his main companion. (OOC: ).

[Runfast]

Mosspaw nodded.
"Yeah, I guess..." As they drew nearer to the dark forest of Abyssclan, Mosspaw grew quiet.

[Loki]

Sinewpaw felt his confidence tremble. He looked up and breathed a gulp of air in. The forest... it looked as if it swallowed the shadows them selves. He sped up a little, he was going to try his best. Was Lokistar scared of Abbysclan? He thought, then felt bad, What would she think, he hadn't told her of his absence...

[Ezziestar]

Brambleleaf tried her best to run after the others. Tiredness already creeping in, like the shadows that surrounded her. Everything seemed to confuse her, she had almost fogotten why she was leaving Dewclan behind... but remember the prophecy she had recieved like all of the others, enemies or not, she had to travel with them.

[Guest]

Pigeonwing slowly swished her tail.
"Mother, I'm REALLY tired now!" Silverkit meowed.
"No you're not." Frostkit replied. "If you can talk then you can walk!" She slid off her father's back.
"Hiya!" Silverkit pounced on top of Garnetheart, who purred proudly at his kits.
"I think we should stay with Brambleleaf," Whisperkit murmured. "She doesn't look too good. It's around the time for her to kit."

[Ezziestar]

Brambleleaf picked up on Whisperkit's comment, "I'm fine." She spoke, her voice a little weak. She didn't want to look weak infront of all of the journeying cats. It was one thing to leave, the last thing she wanted was to have the whole group slowed down by her. She didn't want to look weak.

[Longstorm]

Gingerleaf began to slow. The border felt almost dangerous now, like the border itself was alive and running towards them... What was this feeling? What was it that kept Abyssclan feeling so... Terrifying?
The tom shook his head, green eyes narrowing. Regardless of his fear, he would keep on.
"I think we should slow down," he mewed to those around him, noting the loudness of their running pawsteps.

[Ezziestar]

Brambleleaf slowed down a little after hearing Gingerleaf's suggestion. She began to look around the border, she suppressed a shudder at the thought of entering Abbyssclan territory.

[Meany]

Blackfire gladly slowed. He, too, was feeling something akin to fear. That border... That Clan... They made no sense! Blackfire shuddered, thinking about what lay on the other side.

Snowfeather slowed with the other toms, but kept pace with them. She wasn't about to be outdone by a bunch of boys!

[Runfast]

Despite herself, Mosspaw had begun to tremble as they all got closer. She wished the borders of Tawnyclan were that much closer, or even Dewclan! But, no, they were smack in the middle.
Now, Mosspaw was very happy that she'd be staying on the safe side.

Mistlight watched Brambleleaf carefully, and kept an ear out for the other cats, slowing with them.
The Abyssclan border was only fox-lengths away.
"I'll stay with this part of the patrol. If anything happens to any of you," she didn't voice any examples, there were kits present, "you may need a medicine cat."

[Ezziestar]

Brambleleaf murmured, "Why has Starclan chosen me? Why not Mistpaw or Jayleaf? Aren't medicine cat's the ones to be given prophecies?" But she made sure it wasn't too loud, she feared any cat beyond that border.

[Loki]

Sinewpaw whispered to Mosspaw, "I'll protect you." He trotted forward.
Sparrowhawk looked across, Trees above overwhelming him in darkness.
He stopped, now that they were on the edge of the border. He looked across.
Scented the air. But wait! What was that? He looked down , right, to where he couldn't
see in the smoggy night. "Can you hear that?" He almost said too quietly.

Sinewpaw, shuddered with fear and... excitement, he trotted past the leaders of the journeying group. "What are we waiting for?" He whispered and trotted across.
Before the group knew it they heard a squeal and a splash!
Sparrowhawk trotted forward and looked down into the ditch.
"Abbysclan trap!" Sinewpaw wailed.
"Sinewpaw..." Sparrowhaw murmured, "Just stand up."

Sinewpaw stood up, luckily this end of the stream was shallow. "umm..." Sinewpaw mewed.
Sparrowhawk shook his head, his whiskers twitching in amusement.
His ears twitched, he could smell a group of cats further up, they whispered.
"Hush," the tabby mewed, using the high grass to the best of his advantages.

[Ezziestar]

Brambleleaf's whiskers twitched as she too could smell the other cat scent.

[Longstorm]

OOC: For the sake of avoiding confusion, we should start a new thread for when Abyssclan comes up.

IC: Gingerleaf inhaled deeply but shook his head.
"Ah, whatever's in these ditches makes it almost impossible to get a clear scent..." He tried to focus on the one scent but strong scents of birds, dirty water, and stale border markers got in the way.
He was a good tracker, but there was something about Abyssclan...

IC: Mosspaw's whiskers twitched as she watched Sinewpaw fall into the ditch.
"I think you need to be a little more worried about yourself...."

Mistlight rolled her eyes, backing away from the border a bit. Starclan above, something was strange about this border.
