Chamber of the Moon Empty Chamber of the Moon

Post by Longstorm Tue Apr 12, 2011 1:13 am

OOC: Here the chosen few of Abyssclan and Cityclan will meet: The order to arrive will be: Scorchpoint, Cold and Joy, Tala and Jace, Dark, Commons and Jazz.

IC: Scorchpoint kept traveling downwards - then he slipped. He was falling! Scorchpoint dropped through open air, his legs flailing - was this all just some trap?
Those Above save me! I'm not ready to die! He landed, his head banging against the end sharply. Darkness took him mercifully.

OOC: He's just knocked out. He'll come to soon.

Chamber of the Moon Empty Re: Chamber of the Moon

Joyless padded forward, She lifted her nose in the air and took in the sweet aroma of fruit and berry. Suddenly her back legs failed, they slid forward and she fell back, until she too was falling,
her tail flailed in vain to turn her body and she gamboled forward. "Which ridiculous, hard headed, mouse tailed..." She looked up and around her.

Cold slid back and fell out of an adjacent tunnel - he was falling! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEESSSSSSS!!! He landed quickly, though, but on his (OOC: Hehe) butt. He winced and stood. In the strangely lit area, he could see the Servant, Joyless, looking around the area. Cold said nothing, but made his pawsteps noticeably louder so she would know that he was there. He saw a huddled form on the ground and padded over to it.
By the scent he recognized Scorchpoint. Cold nudged the unconscious form with his front paw.

Chamber of the Moon Empty Re: Chamber of the Moon

Scorchpoint moved slightly and he opened his eyes. The dark amber pools were somewhat unfocused but when they went back into focus, he gave the quiet Choosing a questioning look.

Tala and Jace, somewhat covered in mud, both padded on. Jace stopped suddenly.
"What," Tala whispered.

"There's a small drop," he whispered back. Now he could see much better - somehow, a large cavern was lit by strange points of light.
The 'small drop' was a tail length high, from the tunnel to the floor of this cavern. "I think I can smell other cats," he whispered when a faint scent crossed his path. Jace had been taught to smell food, not cats.

Tala nodded and bumped the back of the youngster's leg with her head, knocking Jace out of the tunnel and onto the cold stone floor of the cavern. She chuckled and gingerly stepped down and mewed,
"You were in my way," she explained. She sighed and sat down, her joints aching.

Scorchpoint stood suddenly at the scent of strange new cats. He gestured that-a-ways.

Joyless turned, to the newer cats scent and hissed.
For some reason she stood in front of the Young choosing,
whoever these cats could be, they could be dangerous and
a threat to such a small young tom. Scorchpoint was in her way of
view although she couldn't see much anyway.

OOC: since Joy was a council members daughter I wonder if her markings would be remembered, as well as he name because it hasn't changed apart from the added prefix.

Chamber of the Moon Empty Re: Chamber of the Moon

The elderly she-cat, Tala, stepped into the brighter light, wincing at the pain in her joints.
"Now," she rasped, "settle down. What have I ever done to you?" The old she-cat's eyes glimmered, and the smaller cat behind her stood up, shaking his pelt. He unsheathed his claws, but they were terribly dull like the she-cat's.

Scorchpoint noticed and he calmed down.

Joy realized that these cats would be no threat. She sat down and looked at Cold. She sighed.
"Well then," She mewed, "Who are you?"

Jace sheathed his pitiful claws and mewed,
"My name's Jay-Cee." Tala nodded and mewed in her ragged voice,
"And my name is Tala. Don't worry, my growl is worse than my bite," her eyes sparkled good humoredly.

Scorchpoint nodded, but there was something else he was wondering. He looked at the Servant and Choosing, a questioning look in his eyes.

Jace looked a little nervous but Tala had seen everything in life.
"I had a dream," she mewed, "And in it my ancestors spoke to me."

Jace mewed,
"I had the same dream!" Tala hadn't told him exactly why they'd come out here, but there it was.

Cold saw Scorchpoint's look and nodded to what Joyless said.

Down the tunnel, Commons was shocked. All of these cats had shared the same dream? No matter. Soon, she'd put an end to it.

Chamber of the Moon Empty Re: Chamber of the Moon

Dark stumbled into the chamber and stopped short when he saw everyone. The Choosing's eyes settled on Tala and Jace. He'd heard the conversation down the tunnel so he mewed,
"Aren't those Cityclan names?" He looked at the others, acting like he'd been there all along. "Sinface told me that Cityclan names were similar to rogue and loner names, but different at the same time." He looked at Cold and mewed, "By the way, did you see a tom with dark fur run into here?"

"Well, I'll be," Jazz padded past Common's hiding place into the Chamber talking about the dream, "You don't say. I had the same dream -" he looked at Dark, "and yeah, we hail from Cityclan . 'Long live Satin', and all that."

"Alright, So we'v all had the same dream, Instead of nattering on about how sweet your lives are we could sort out whats going to done about this dream of ours," Joyless interrupted, she sounded irritable from inexperienced ears, but truthfully a lot of hurt and trauma was there deep down, Joy was just a mother who wanted to see her kits again. She flattened her ears, claws sheafed but ready...

Jazz looked at her, still looking friendly but more serious.
"It was my intention to, mam." He sat, his pelt still dirty but his eyes glimmered in the dark.
"Now, if the stories I was told as a Youngling are right, messages from the beyond are supposed to be translated by someone who knows what's what..." He glanced at everyone. "But all I recognized in that dream were the mountains I saw and the phrase 'perfect number'."

Dark got over his surprise and mewed,
"They mentioned 'Above' and 'Below', and the Forester's ancestors too... Does that mean the Foresters will be doing whatever it is, too?"

Jace, being an intelligent youngster, thought about that.
"Well, yeah... I think so... 'Find those with the same heart'..." He looked around at those present. "I think it means that Forest cats will have to come down here!"

Scorchpoint's fur bristled, and he looked up at all of the murals. Foresters in such a sacred place? Never!

Tala, upon seeing his discomfort, mewed to Scorchpoint,
"Well, youngster, if we don't want them here, then where? I don't think any of you know these tunnels well."

Scorchpoint glared at her, but nodded curtly.

Joyless felt unsure but nodded after a while, What else was she going to do? she sighed... She had no ideas at this moment so what the she-cat said seemed right.

Chamber of the Moon Empty Re: Chamber of the Moon

Post by Loki Mon Apr 18, 2011 1:54 am

Joyless closed her eyes and thought. There is one by the stream next to the Tawnyclan border, I Think.... or it could be a badger set... who knows!? Joyless thought, yawning. "I think there may be one by the Tawnyclan boundary, its right under a bush so..." To be frank Joy was beginning to sound more like her mother... like a cat fed on the tuna being sold fresh by a two leg, but not as posh or polite. Joyless shook her head... what to do... what to do...

Chamber of the Moon Empty Re: Chamber of the Moon

Post by Guest Tue Apr 19, 2011 10:51 pm

Surprisingly, Dark didn't care that Joyless was a Servant. They were in this together, and loyalty and teamwork (not love and compassion) was basically Abyssclan's motto.
Dark mewed,
"Only one entrance on the Tawnyclan side?" Well, it made sense... He'd heard there was heavy flooding there last year. "I saw two tunnels when I was with Sinface on the Dewclan border, but they were further up the hill. I only found them because... Well," he ducked his head, "I saw one of the Powerfuls come out of one of the entrances, and the other one was nearby." He smiled sheepishly. "I, uh, kinda snuck off to look at them... But I didn't see any others, and we went along the whole of the Dewclan side, and I was looking, and... yeah..."

Scorchpoint looked at Dark and smiled for the briefest of moments.

Tala nodded, thinking.

Jace mewed,
"Tawnyclan and Dewclan... They're Forester Clans, right?"

Scorchpoint nodded.

Jace nodded, a worried look on his face. It wasn't usual for him to not know too much about his surroundings.
"Well... Is there any way for them to be... I don't know, for them to be brought to a different part of the tunnels, I mean-"

Tala mewed gently,
"I think these Warriors don't like the idea of Foresters in such a sacred place."

Jace looked at the old she-cat and nodded.
"Alright. I've another idea. What if, instead of letting them come here, we go to them?"

Jace nodded, thoughts racing.
"Well... If the Foresters have brains, they may know about the Stone of the Moon." Jace gestured to the stone protected by dust, leaves, and cobwebs.

Scorchpoint looked at the Cityclanners, shock and disbelief covering his face.

Jace noticed and mewed,
"Well, someone must have noticed way back when. And from what I've heard, Foresters like their stories as much as Cityclanners like theirs, and you cats like your songs. (Which, I should add that I love)."

Tala mewed to Joyless,
"If there is a chance that they don't figure it out, where would they go to first?"

The answer suddenly clicked in Joyless' head, "Moonfall."
She stood, "Should all of us go or just two of us?" She mewed
in a pointed way, "It wouldn't be much point in all of us tiring
ourselves out, when we could be wrong about the whole situation."
The whole experience was already exciting the young she-cat and
she wanted to shake it off a bit, not stay slow for... for the Cityclan cats.
