OOC: Language barrier joke time!
Fierie stood on a tall rock, surveying the fields below her. A falcon circled above. It was Rook. He landed on her shoulder and squawked. "Hiyas! Got any scraps to share?"
"Not now, you worm-brain!" Fierie hissed in the language of birds. "Get away, before they see you!"
Rook tipped his head to one side. The wolf's accent was terrible. He only heard, "Now now, birdie, get going, and I'll give you a tree!"
"Why do you want to give me a tree?" he asked, in his own language.
Unlike Rook, Fierie could understand his language perfectly. "You bird-brain! Go now!"
Now Rook understood. He jumped off Fierie's shoulder and took off, soaring up into the blue sky just as the shadows of the two loners came up.
