Sunshift caught his breath near a ditch.He has never been on Darkclan territory, and the unfamililiar land scared him.He was lost.He didn't know where the camp was, and all of the smoke and ash choked him up.He wanted to think that he lost the Mud cats, but he knew that he would be kidding himself. He couldn't scent them because of the ash clogging up his nose.He couldn't run forever. He knew that he would either pass out in exhaustion or get killed by the Mud cats. I wonder why they're even evil, he thought. Why are they bent on murder? Just like the Abyssclanners... He started to run again, into the denser part of the forest, hoping to find some Darkclanners that would take him prisoner.

OOC: You know, flame, you've sorta solved a problem here.

IC: Mistlight, medicine cat of Darkclan gone missing, scented Tawnyclan through the ash that was further down the mountain.
She hissed and snarled long and low, unsheathing the claws on her large paws.

[Longstorm]

Brambleleaf, a Dewclan queen with four kits, and Tala, an old Cityclan Distributor, noticed Mistlight's worry.
"What is it, Mistlight," rasped the Distributor.
As a warrior of Dewclan, and used to smelling prey past the scent of marshes, Brambleleaf could scent someone from a different Clan - and not one from her own.
The queen stood, fur bristling, claws unsheathing. "What's Tawnyclan doing here," she hissed.

[Runfast]

Mistlight felt the fur on the back of her neck rising. "Perhaps the fires drove him here - only one way to find out."
The she-cats and single tom-kit knew of the fires. In fact, they'd moved their little make shift camp further up the mountain and North to escape the smoky winds from the surrounding territories. What caused the fires, they didn't know, but they were glad (and a bit afraid of) the two-leg whirry monsters that put them out.
Out of that train of thought, Mistlight trotted towards the scent.

Sunshift kept walking, and he realized that he could hear cats speaking. They spoke of scenting a Tawnyclan cat who was driven by the fires. They're talking about me, he realized. He walked in their direction, and could hear them more clearly now.But he wanted to stay out of their view. He didn't want to seem like he was purposely getting captured. It would make it seem like a trap.

[Longstorm]

Brambleleaf watched after Mistlight, clawing the ground nervously. She felt a tail on her shoulder. The queen looked back to see Tala, who was smiling.
"Go with her, youngster," she encouraged. "I'll watch after your kits."
Brambleleaf smiled back, whispering, "Thank you." She took off after Mistlight. When she caught up to her, she mewed firmly, "Don't even think about sending me back."

Tala curled around the three kits, mewing, "Your mom will be back soon. So no fussing - that means you, Eaglekit," she looked sternly at the golden tom-kit.

[Guest]

"Eh, whatever," muttered Sunshift.He climbed through the bushes to find a other-wise Abyssclan cat, a Dewclan cat with kits, and a Darkclanner.His ears embarrasingly flattened, and his tail was still."Umm....hello?" he studdered.What are these cats doing here? he wondered, Only one belongs here....

[Runfast]

Mistlight flattened her ears at the tom. "Why are you here," she snarled to him, fur bristling.

[Longstorm]

Tala, upon seeing the cat, beckoned for the kits to stand, and she herded them a bit away.

Brambleleaf joined Mistlight, fur bristling and snapping her teeth.

[Longstorm]

OOC: Bump.

IC: Brambleleaf snarled, "Get away."
Eaglekit tried to peek over Tala's thin side, wondering what was going on. The tom's green eyes opened wide when he saw the strange tom.
