Brambleleaf lay in the old fox den. She arched herself for her kits to suckle and they squeaked and scuffled noisily.
If I knew this was going to happen I wouldn't have come, She thought sadly. She couldn't help but feeling at a loss.
She was here, ditched as if she was a hindrance to the others. "Perhaps I am..." She thought.
She looked up for she could hear paw steps coming this way...

((Thanks for keeping my cats alive XD))
Nightkit was play fighting with Eaglekit, they were both squealing in excitement, Brambleleaf was watching them and smiling warmly, At least my kits have grown up strong... I'm proud to be their mother.

Tala sighed tiredly as she looked around the great pine forest they were in. Darkclan... such a strange place.
In all of her years Tala had never traveled so far. Yes, she'd dreamt of it when she was young and beautiful. Then her life took a turn and what she considered to be her true destiny appeared, and all her dreams were set aside.
As Tala's gaze went from the towering trees, so foreign to her, to the far mountain tops, she found herself making a wish. She wished that she'd had the strength to pick up her aged paws and followed the youngsters over those mountains. That she'd had the strength to finish the Quest with them.
Of course, the wish was too little too late. She knew she'd never have the strength again. Tala also knew she didn't have the strength to make it back to Cityclan, her only home.
I was once useful - I was useful there. My knowledge of herbs and rot and poisons - yet here is a she-cat far younger than myself who knows so much more... though, there's a bit of cotton in her head, talking about cats in the stars... dog-tails.
She looked around the place she was sitting. I may not be able to go home - but this place is nice enough, if a little chilly... Be nice to live here - well, she mused, maybe a little closer to the bottom where the sun is stronger. If those 'warriors' let me.
Bluepaw had told Tala all about living in a Clan, how the elders were taken care of and how the warriors defended the camp at all costs.
They sound foolhardy, but different claws for different paws.

Tala looked around for Mistlight. Where had that star-chatting girl gone?

A little distance away, Mistlight was looking through a break in the trees and up at the cloudy sky.
Starclan, send me a sign, she prayed. Should I return home with these she-cats and these kits, or do I remain here? Or do you have a different path for me?
She waited silently for a response, something, anything.

Brambleleaf somehow felt a small bit of sorrow, This isn't my quest... She closed her eyes and could see a small kit, the young tom was looking up at her, "Momma?" He mewled, "Where did you go?"
Brambleleaf sighed, If only I could find you... Stone; I wish you were with me.

Receiving no answer, Mistlight sighed heavily. Perhaps this prophecy hides me from Starclan.
She remembered a previous prophecy she had received before she had become a medicine cat, of how shadows and dust-demons brought forth hope somehow. If only I knew what it meant! Perhaps it holds the key to the prophecy of the moon?
Mistlight looked up at the sky once more. She could see the first few stars beginning to show in the sky.
Maybe things will make more sense soon.
The she-cat's ears drooped and she padded back to the other she-cats.
"Hello, Tala," she mewed to the elderly she-cat. "How are your joints?"

OOC: Just to finish up this poor, forgotten topic...

IC: Tala looked up at the wise yet young she-cat and nodded. "Much better. Those herbs you gave me helped... I never knew plants could do quite all that." The elderly she-cat rolled onto her side, licking at her belly fur.
It was strange, the situation they were in. But Tala could cope.
