Shadowstar said nothing, not a twitch or a breath.
Then he leaped. His claws were outstretched and his teeth bared, Shadowstar was a streak of black lightening, and was set to strike the heart of Sinface.

OOC: Cheesy, cheesy, oh how you're a cliche...

IC: Sinface barely had a moment to react. He was knocked on his back, but he tried to roll with it, aiming to kick the smaller tom off with his reinforced back legs - but because he was smaller, it was harder to get a grip.
Sinface snarled in defiance, trying to shove Shadowstar back then clawing him with his hind claws.

Shadowstar felt himself being shoved back towards Sinface's churning claws and rolled off. As soon as he had a firm center of gravity (which was in moments), he aimed a blow at Sinface's eyes.

Sinface yowled in pain as Shadowstar's claws scored across his face - not quite connecting with his eyes, though, much like his would-be-father Woebringer had done all those seasons past.
But it was time to end this (OOC: Duh).
Sinface leaped right at his father - a dangerous move - claws at the ready, rolling mid-air so he could catch Shadowstar's pelt and roll under him.

Shadowstar nearly smiled. Ironic that he be felled by this maneuver, the very same move that he himself introduced to the Clan back when his mind was fresh with optimism and creativity.
Shadowstar shrieked in pain as his stomach was torn open, all the way up to his throat, but it was the end.
There was no pain when he hit the ground. No pain even as his intestines spilled onto the dirt. No pain even as blood filled his lungs, no, even though his paws were churning in vain and he was still snarling in defiance.
The world grew dark. The faint scent of golden tall grass faintly wafted by on the breeze. Then there was nothing.

Shadowstar was dead.

Sinface watched Shadowstar die, and he felt nothing. Nothing at all for the small, flimsy black tom that he had dealt a mortal blow, nothing for his father.
The blue-eyed tom turned away from the corpse and looked over the cats of the Clan - his Clan.
He felt as though he should say something, anything at all, but there was nothing. Just... Blood.
Fitting.

Dauntless watched in shock as the seemingly inextinguishable Shadowstar fell. It was... done?
The she-cat let out a thin yowl of victory, but it died soon enough.
What was there to be said?

"He's... dead." Leave it to Grace to say something when it seemed appropriate to remain silent.
