Woebringer, calico Protector of Abyssclan, was talking with Razorclaw and Viletongue about strange activity along their borders (at this time, Crashingflight, Cunningheart, and Sinface were all off patrolling the borders).
"So you say the Tawnyclan border has been more active than usual?"

Shadesun, not thinking about his Choosing, was watching Woebringer at work.
He wanted to be the second Protector, see, and he believed he was the perfect candidate.
