Returning with the Day Patrol

Sinface, followed by his Choosing, Dark, and he followed by the rest of the patrol padded into the clearing. They'd done their duty, and soon the night patrol would wake up and patrol all night - surprisingly, they loved doing it.
Sinface sighed heavily, the Song of Warriors stuck in his head as well as thoughts of the Tawnyclan patrol. What had they been searching for? As usual, Cunningheart had made some off remark to rile them up, and Despairingcall had sent some of his feathered friends after them. It wasn't usual to see the birds not carry away cats and rip them apart mid-air. But then, why should Despairingcall have the birds do that when there wasn't a war... yet?
He picked a mouse from the fresh-kill pile and chowed down, thinking about the Gathering.

Cunningheart looked around the camp, taking note of all of the cats present. She spotted Searingeyes and went up to him, saying,
"Will you be taking us again?"

Searingeyes looked at her and bit back a tart response.
"Yes. Yes I will be. And it looks like you'll be coming with..." He sighed, only just loud enough so only he and Cunningheart could hear (he had a reputation to uphold). "Pretty much the same cats as last time, but I'll switch out the cats that look similar to some that went last time."

Cunningheart nodded. Serious strategizing, the Gathering was.
"Tigerfrost should come with... Switchblade as well."

Searingeyes looked thoughtful.
"Yes... you and those two will be the ones in the open - Switchblade's Choosing as well... And I think Dauntless and Hopeless should represent that Servants... And Shadesun, Moanfang, Sinface, and their respective Choosings will all be in the bushes..."

"Deadwhisker hasn't been out," Cunningheart mewed.

"Alright then," Searingeyes mewed. "That's the Gathering patrol."

Cunningheart chuckled.
"Only twleve out of... hmm, thirty seven?"

"Fourty-one, if those kits were here." The two fell silent at those words, and Searingeyes looked up at the sky.
"Tigerfrost!" The named tom (who was coming out of the Warrior's Den) looked at him. "You're coming to the Gathering."

Tigerfrost's mouth opened and shut then he spluttered,
"But-but- I have to go patr-"

Searingeyes held up his tail.
"They'll understand."

Tigerfrost's tail drooped and he joined the two.

Searingeyes called,
"Switchblade, Shadesun, Moanfang, and Sinface! Bring your Choosings, you're coming to the Gathering."
He looked around for the Servants and spotted them (OOC: let's say they're back by now). "Dauntless, Hopeless. You're both coming to the Gathering. Colorless, Loveless, Eyeless and Luckless, join the night patrol."
Searingeyes nodded, satisfied.

OOC: Can I guess that Woebringer is coming then?
IC:
Joyless looked up her eyes gllazing with woonder and confidense she rasped her tongue over her pelt. She hadn't seen Woebringer in... a while. Was that a good thing or a bad thing? She thought about that question, perhaaps both were the correct answers.

Switchblade's tail flicked up, If Woebringer was going was going... at least he could keep an eye on Joyless. She had changed recently, Normally her constant talking made his ears ache
and she was boastfull and confident... now he couldn't tell what was going through her mind at all. "Alright, Cold, Your coming to the gathering with us," He sighed, at least he wouldn't have to worry about his apprentice opening his mouth.

Eyeless blinked and looked away, "Whats happened about Defenseless?" She whispered to Joy.
"Defencelesss has probably taken refuge with those mangy red blood... whatever cats... I don't think we'll see her again."
"Oh..."

Crashingflight and Trueskin sat together watching them prepare. "This is annoying, I never go to the gathering, And your too hopeless to go."
Trueskin just smiled at the comment.

OOC: We're trying tp bring the same cats over and over so that the other clans aren't able to guess how many cats we have... And no, Woebringer isn't going. Woebringer has things to do, and Searingeyes wants Joyless to stay home.

IC: Searingeyes looked around nodded.
"We make for the Gathering! Keep your wits about you, and your claws unsheathed. We must not forget the 'prophecy'," Searingeyes spat the word, "That Darkclan gave two moons ago." He sprinted out of the camp, Cunningheart and Tigerfrost following close behind.
