Thinking about the Gathering

"Are you certain it was his scent,"Longflight asked Foxclaw for the billionth time.

Foxclaw, frustrated, growled,
"Yes, yes, and YES, it was Blackpaw! I'm sure of it, there's no other cat in all the territories who smell like him!"

Longflight sighed.
"Sorry, Foxclaw. It's just... Well, wherever he is, I bet Skyecho and the rest are too!"

Foxclaw nodded.
"Blueblossom did vanish when he did... They disappeared at the Gathering, so Redfall must have been there!"

Longflight rounded on him.
"What?"

"I mean I scented him!"
Foxclaw looked around, nervous. Maybe someone was listening???

Longflight mewed,
"Why didn't you speak of this before?"

Foxclaw gulped,
"I was afraid that... That I'd be ratted out! I didn't know who to trust!"

Longflight fell silent, nodding in understanding.
