CLOSED Time For Thought

Blueblossom, having fully been integrated into the Rebellion, was looking around at the beauty of the ice shell that protected the Freedom Fighters. The snow outside blew against it harshly, but it only added to the strength of it all. She sighed, then looked to her brother, Redfall. She was going to pose an interesting question to him soon, and she hoped that he would take it to heart.

Redfall padded up to his sister, greeting her by rubbing his cheek against hers.
"Hello," he purred. "I heard you had something to ask of me, sister? I'm all ears."

Blueblossom turned to face her brother.
"Brother," she mewed hesitantly. She thought of their mother and how she might have been - Spottedfur had been a lovely, brave she-cat who was nearly unmatched in battle. She would have just said what she had in her heart. "Redfall," she mewed confidently, "I think you and Mistpaw should go to Moonfall. In the eyes of Starclan, you are leader here. In the eyes of Starclan, Mistpaw is ready to be a full medicine cat."
Blueblossom thought of the dream she had before Goldkit, Silverkit, and Bronzekit were born, and now she understood it. The great red star, the mist that blended with it. It was time.

[Runfast]

Redfall looked at his sister in shock.
"You-I- Me!?!" He took a step back then stepped forward again. "Blueblossom... That's..." He sat down harshly, thoughts whirling. "I..." Redfall breathed in, steadying himself.
"Blueblossom.. I... Mistpaw becoming a medicine cat makes sense, but, but, me becoming a leader..." He fell silent. He couldn't lie! Redfall had been feeling like he was being summoned for days now. What his littermate was saying made sense in his mind.
He sighed. "When do you think I should do this," he asked quietly.

[Longstorm]

Blueblossom sighed, relieved that he had agreed to it.
"As soon as possible," she mewed softly. "The medicine cat's meeting was three sun sets ago so you don't have to worry..." Blueblossom left out "Any more than usual." Hey, passing along the borders of Darkclan and Dewclan was complicated! Who knew when a border patrol was going to be walking along the massive borders?

[Runfast]

Redfall nodded - as he was, Mistpaw came out of hiding.

"Good," she mewed, and Redfall jumped. "I think we should leave as soon as we eat these herbs I put together this morning."

Redfall looked at Mistpaw in awe and amusement,
"You... knew I would agree to this?"

Mistpaw giggled,
"Of course, Redfall. It's time, and you know it!"

Redfall shook his head, a smile creeping onto his face regardless of how exhilarated he was feeling.

Mistpaw just smiled, pushing the herbs out in front of him, and he took them.
