CLOSED Coming Back From the Gathering

[Longstorm]

The cats of the Rebellion were waiting in the 'clearing' the next morning, looking for Redfall and Mistpaw.
Little did they know, they'd be meeting two more cats then expected.

Sunmist looked around impatiently, finding the silence very boring.
"Starclan above!" she called, her voice echoing in the Ice Shell. "Where are they? It's not like we're a secret rebellion, worrying about everything, every move, what we're rebelling against... OH WAIT. WE ARE."

Gorseclaw gave his sister a look and smacked her with his tail.
"Hush, Sunmist. They'll be here!"

Frostshine, a black tom with shiny white markings, was pacing.
"They should be back by now," he murmured to Jaycall. Jaycall could only nod. Without Redfall, there was only them, two other warriors, a queen, and many kits. They were hardly a clan.

Skyecho watched from the Nursery, all of the kits asleep behind her. Checking over her should one last time, she padded out of the Nursery to join her brother, Frostshine.
"I do hope they get back soon," she sighed, worry tinging her voice.

Jaycall and Frostshine murmured in agreement, watching and waiting.

[Runfast]

Redfall, followed by Mistpaw, jumped in through the hole in the Ice-Shell. They both flopped onto the ground, gasping for breath, shivering.
"Brr," Redfall shook the snow from his pelt. "The weather is a killer!" Mistpaw's whiskers were frozen, so she just sat there warming up.

From the Nursery watched Goldpaw. He was glad everyone was back, so he went back to sleep.

Redfall looked around at the anxious expressions of his clanmates and nodded.
"Right... We had to take the long way back this time. Thornstar and Darkclan attended the Gathering."

Mistpaw, warmer, shook the snow from her own pelt.

[Longstorm]

Sunmist and Gorseclaw exchanged looks, and Gorseclaw mewed,
"Thornstar? Redfall, surely you must be mistaken!"


Not too far off, Blackpaw and Blueblossom were braving the blizzard, Blackpaw chivilrously walking in front of her.
"Not too far now, Blackpaw!" Blueblossom called over the howl of the wind. "I'm sure of it!"

Frostshine and Jaycall exchanged a look, then went to stand closer to the others.
"Why was Thornstar there?" asked Frostshine.
"How did he look," Jaycall asked quietly - Thornstar was his father, him mother Blueblossom, and his sister Robinsong.

[Runfast]

Redfall looked at Jaycall and mewed,
"He looked worse." He looked at Frostshining and the others. "There's some bad news - I think Thornstar has formed some sort of alliance with Abyssclan."

Mistpaw looked up suddenly and gasped. Her vision - the cat made of shadows and thorns, of course! Shadowstar and Thornstar working together!

The Rebellion gasped with Mistpaw. Abyssclan working with Darkclan?

[Longstorm]

Blueblossom mewed quietly to Starclan,
"Please, please, for Blackpaw's sake! Let us be close!" Blueblossom stumbled, smacked into a strange wall, then yowled, "REDFALL! MISTPAW! WE'RE HERE!!" Hopeless, she knew, but she had to call out anyways.

Gorseclaw's ears pricked up. Sunmist noticed and whispered,
"What is it?" Gorseclaw looked at his sister and mewed,
"I don't know... I think I heard someone outside the shell..."

[Guest]

Jaycall jumped onto the largest root, moved the branch curtain, and looked outside.
"I don't see anything," he called down as snow smacked him in the face. Then, he heard something. It was... yowling? He strained to see in the darkness and whirling snow, sniffing hard.
".... Mom?"

Frostshine's ears pricked up.
"Who, Jaycall?"

Jaycall looked down outside the Shell and he saw them - a white she-cat, almost invisible in the snow, and a black tom, huddled next to the she-cat.
"It's Blueblossom! And Blackpaw!" HE readied himself to leap out. "Come on, they're freezing to death!"

[Meany]

Blackpaw, huddled next to Blueblossom, looked up at the sound of faint mews.
".... J-j-jay-c-c-call?" His teeth chattered as he spoke.

[Runfast]

Hearing the name of his sister (OOC: Get it? Blue, Red... yeah...), Redfall quickly joined Jaycall, leaping out of the Shell and nudging the two freezing cats.
"Come on," he yowled over the wind. "CLIMB!" He led his sister and the apprentice up the easiest route to the ice-gap.

[Longstorm]

Blueblossom slowly made her way up with her son, glad to hear his deep, yet soft-toned voice once again.
Blueblossom reached the branch curtain (which Gorseclaw held open for her) and made her way in with the help of Sunmist, who was glad to see her mentor again.
"Blueblossom," she purred as she helped the white she-cat down to the barely snow-covered ground. Blueblossom just shivered, all of her whiskers covered in ice.
Above, Gorseclaw watched Blackpaw and Jaycall's progress.

[Guest]

Jaycall lead his mother into the Shell, leaning against her, trying to warm her up. Frostshine came up too, as did Skyecho, who purred in her ear,
"It's good to see you, Blueblossom."

[Longstorm]

Blueblossom shivered, but she nodded jerkily.

Sunmist looked up at her brother and mewed,
"Is there anyone following them, Gorseclaw?"

Gorseclaw strained to see in the blizzard, but he could see anything that would suggest followers.
He looked down and mewed,
"As far as I can tell, no."

From the Nursery watched Silverpaw. Who was that white she-cat?

Blackpaw, just beginning to get some feeling back, hobbled over to Blueblossom and leaned against her as well, glad to see that she was still alive.
"W-we made it," he shivered, very tired.
