Waiting In The Den

Hollypaw gazed down at her jet black paws. The tortoiseshell she-cat waited patiently for her mentor to show up. Her lapis blue eyes glowed in excitement. To day they were going hunting! her thoughts drifted over to the forest, then to the prey, then...she shuddered. What if there was a badger? Hollypaw shook off the worry, but she still was shivering, as if a blizzard was swept towards her. "Come on, Foxclaw!" she growled.

Hollypaw!' Where are you." Foxclaw called from outside the den. " We're going hunting."

"Over here, Foxclaw!" Hollypaw called back. The young she-cat hopped off of the rock she was sitting on, and padded towards her mentor. "Where else could I be?" she rolled her eyes in amusement. She loved going out to hunt! Hollypaw hoped to impress Foxclaw today. A small breeze ruffled her fur, sending a warm and postive wave around her body.
