Hunting along the border

Longflight, senior warrior of Darkclan (and next in line to be deputy) was stalking a mouse along the border that Darkclan shared with Dewclan.
He pounced - Success! He thanked Starclan for the creature's life then buried it, moving on to the next bit of prey.

Robinsong, not too far behind him, jumped aimlessly at animals, scaring them off and laughing while she did.
"Starclan this, Starclan that," she sang. "Loves the rats, hates the cats - take the apprentices out to train, but look! They're just messing with us again!" Robinsong laughed, catching up to Longflight. "Why should we thank Starclan," she hissed, "My father says that Starclan are just a group of dead cats who just want us all to DIE."

[Runfast]

Longflight turned around - Robinsong had scared away a nice-sized pigeon.
"Robinsong, have you ever considered that maybe, just maybe, Thornstar is wrong on some subjects? Your father hasn't been right in the head for more than 4 moons. Come on, allying with Abyssclan? That's not the Darkclan way. Yes, I know all about it. I'm clever, you know." He rolled his eyes and turned around.

Nearby, Rainfoot had been listening in.
"Defector," he hissed to himself. He knew it. Rainfoot always knew that Longflight's mind wasn't them same as a true Darkclanner's was meant to be. He smiled and slunk away, thinking about telling Sleetcoat.

[Runfast]

Not really thinking about it, Longflight ran ahead, losing himself in the familiar terrain of Darkclan.
