Crow had rested himself under a small oak tree that hadn't been engulfed in the flames.. They had passed the river and was finally safe... For now that is. His feet felt broken underneath the finally cool ground, and couldn't still smell a thing above the terrible scent of smoke and other debris that had flown through his lungs... How he'd weazed under all the injuries. His clan needed a medicine cat... And fast! He didn't want to die now! Not when he hadn't left Flake's life at peace. He closed his eyes, and dug his snout into the dew-splattered grass.

Moonkit was still scared from the fire"Will we be ok?"Moonkit mewed scared.

" We'll be fine, Moonkit" Crow coughed silently as he brought the kit closer to him with his fluffy tail, " But you wont be if you keep breathing in the fumes,"
It looked as if he was a queen, keeping Moonkit by his side, protecting him from the smoke like a wall.

Kits, their weak but are the beginning of a true warrior, He thought as he began to lick the ash off of his fur, It tasted horrible and sticked to the roof of his mouth. He nearly sneezed to doing it, But stood still and let it pass.

If only Flake was still here to find her... She could have been a great queen for the kit with no known mother.

"can we go somewhere where the air is clearer please?"Moonkit asked as she looked up at the warrior.

Crow glared at her blankly. " It would take days to find a place with clear air. We'll most likely stay here for now" Standing up awkwardly, He padded over to a small stream that wasn't contaminated and lapped at it, his throat clearing.
As he began to recover, he picked up a bit of moss, dabbed it into the stream, and padded back to Moonkit, " Here, drink this" he mewed as he dropped it by her small paws.

Moonkit drinked the water and was glad that her throat was better"thank you."Moonkit mewed.

Pantherleap prowled up to Crow, looking unapproving. "Water not safe," she said. "Touched by flame ash. Let kit drink sap from inside clean weed." To demonstrate she reached out to snag a bulrush growing next to the same stream and broke it off, flipping expertly to prevent the sweet-tasting sap from spilling, and tilted it so it dripped instead into Moonkit's tiny mouth.

After the strange cat did that Moonkit asked"Who are you?"

OOC: If Moonkit was around during the time of the battle (which should be chronologically correct, seeing as she couldn't have been born after the battle) she should know Pantherleap as the EPIC KICK-ASS medicine cat of Searclan.

He stood up to the medicine cat, " I'm sorry for the kit, She's been through a lot. Some things even I don't know," he began to cough slightly. "Anyways, I'll send Lightningfire to bring her some prey-" If he can find any in this hell, he added in his mind.

OOC: I've come to the idea that Moonkit was already across the river when the attack happened. Since Coreclan was struck first, Crow took action and saved the kit before joining the battle with Searclan.
