Jayleaf snatched some wet moss from a the Medicine Den and rubbed it on Firepelt's eyes. He sighed in relief. "You're not blind, it's just the dried blood blocking your eyes." he continued to rub.

Mistpaw observed Jayleaf carefully, she wanted to make sure she knew what to do if this problem started up again. She didn't want to tell him about her blank earlier, I'm sure Jayleaf gets them every now and then.

Jayleaf scented Mistpaw. While still rubbing, he mewed: "Mistpaw, could you check up on the other cats?" he tried not to be too commanding. "And check for wounds, as well." the blue-gray tabby was happy to have an apprentice. I will teach her everything I know! he vowed silently.

Daystar didn't say anything, even though he was sure that there was a gash right over his right eye.Tawnyclan was getting farther and farther into anarchy, and Daystar thought that if he left the clan, things would get better. But he was wrong, and things were getting worse.

"Okay, I'll come and check it out." Jayleaf mewed. He rested the moss on Firepelt"s eyes and got up.

Bramblekit tumbled out of the nursery. He saw the badgers and screamed. "Help! Mama! Cousin Jayleaf!" he called as a badger neared him.
