Loveless's ears swiveled to hear the voice and his head followed suit.
"Is someone there?" Loveless knew the patrol was long gone at this point, and he doubted that they remembered that he was there since he was shorter and was unnoticeable - he'd been partially in the bushes anyways, and the light was fading from the sky.
Loveless knew also that it was ridiculously stupid to venture into the lower tunnels before the rains, but that voice was just so familiar.

Snowhare belted out after them. Although she was no large cat, she was by far agile and swift. Her silent paws beat the earth and she kept at a safe distance behind. She felt that if she were truly running with these cats... she could over take them and she kept them in her sight.
