Hollowpaw, Flowerpaw and the bird

"GREAT STARCLAN WAIT UP!" Hollowpaw roared as she trotted through the forest. She never knew Flowerpaw was so fast that she'd loose her! With the scent of Flowerpaw not farther away, she sprang into a tree and ran faster then before. Soon enough, Hollowpaw started to see the dark figure of Flowerpaw from afar " goodness your fast" she panted from above.

OOC: just in case, this is done about 2 moonrises/days after the gathering.

IC:"So, whaddaya (new word!) wanna do NOW?" Rook asked. He had had enough of pretending to be a clueless hillfeather (hillbilly spoof!).
Flame looked down. "Hey! Isn't that a cat?"
Rook followed his companion's gaze and saw a mostly black cat walking below them. "I know that cat! It's that Flower-something or other." He spread his wings, flapped them twice to test them, then glided down to grip a gnarled tree root with his talons.
Flowerpaw saw the black falcon land right next to her. She saw the fading red mark like blood across his chest. Unknown to her, the mark was his symbol of exile from his flock. "Hi!" she meowed. "Aren't you that bird from the battle?"
Rook nodded, making gurgling caws in his throat that formed into crude meows. "Yes, I am."
Flame jumped back quickly, startled by the she-cat. "Is this... is this Flower-something?" he asked Rook.
Rook nodded again, he felt like his head might just fall off.

Jumping out of the tree, exactly right next to Flowerpaw, Hollowpaw looked at the bird with a confused gaze. " so, this is him?" she mewed. " and he can speak cat? wow!" she meowed with amazement. She had never seen an animal of prey ever speak in there language.

OOC: I gotta get off soon, i'll make this brief.
IC: Flowerpaw was jumping with excitement. "You're birds! Do you happen to know about Phoenixckan? birds technically are like phoenixes after all."
"What's she saying?" Flame asked.
"Phoenixclan!" Rook exclaimed in bird. "Imagine, a cat knowing about Phoenixclan." he turned to Flowerpaw and nodded again.

Instead of looking at Rook, Hollowpaw took several brief glances to Flame. It seems she wasn't the only one confused in this forest! " thats right, phoenix's are birds" just repeating what Flowerpaw said.

OOC: Language barriers
IC: "We really need to include a bird that speaks cat in our group." Flame commented, stealing several furtive glances at Flowerpaw and the new cat.
"No joke. Now our cat friends here want to know about Phoenixclan, and we can't tell them because there are too many complicated words to use!" Rook agreed.
