Flowerpaw bounced ahead of her mentor, excited to be out practicing her hunting skills. For too long she had been coonfined to the camp to look after the kits and help out.
"hey, what's this?" Flowerpaw walked up to something long and slimy. A snake.
It was dead, its mouth wide open, exposing two huge fangs that had fallen out of their spots and were resting on the snake's tongue.
Out of curiosity, Flowerpaw plucked out the fangs and slid the hollow ends into her own claws. They fit.
She ran up to a tree and ran her claws along it. The bark peeled away at once, leaving the two deep claw indents showing the pale inside of the tree.
Excitement sparked a flame inside her. She couldn't wait to show this to the clan. Then they could all try it.
OOC: Smokepelts my mentor, right?

OOC: I'd thought you'd want someone like Rainfoot - but if Oaky agrees, then Smokepelt will be your mentor.

OOC: In the allegiances, the cats are listed by seniority. Since Redfall isn't here, the top two are Longflight and Sleetcoat. And since they're aren't many with apprentices, you have the pick of the cats... well, except for the ones who are with the Rebellion (Jaycall, Sunmist, Gorseclaw, Skyecho, Redfall).
