The Joining of the Forces

[Runfast]

Cold looked over the border, smelling cats. He knew they were just beyond the thick tangle of bramble bushes and the ditches beyond that formed during the thaw. His fur bristled slightly, but the wind was on their side.
His back pair of reinforced claws (his only pair as a Choosing) dug into the soft earth as he waited for Scorchpoint's signal.

Commons looked around, wondering why everyone was waiting.

[Loki]

"There..." Joyless mewed. She had spotted the clan cats just a head. Only a small one had dared to cross the border. A black tom, white bib, muzzle and paws. He was soggy so he'd probably just paddled through the stream... or fell.
She smiled at the fear in the other cats eyes and waited a little, to see what they would do.

[Guest]

Dark stood on his back paws (the ones with reinforced claws), getting a better look. He lightly dropped back down and whispered, barely audible with the soft wind,
"There's at least twenty of them... They all got the message, too?" He stopped, seeing the apprentice. "Can I kill him," he whispered, excited.

[Longstorm]

Scorchpoint silenced him with a glare. No. Scorchpoint turned his attention back to the Foresters. There was at least twenty, and if they decided that they didn't like the seven Abyssclan/Cityclan cats... Scorchpoint focused himself and signaled with his tail,
Go around through the brambles. We'll meet them on the side, not the from the front.
He looked at Cold, Dark, and Jace, signaling,
Keep hidden. You're reinforcements.

Jace didn't quite understand all of the signals, but he got the gist of it. They used some signals similar to these in Cityclan.
"Looks like you're going with them," he whispered to Tala.

Tala chuckled quietly.
"Well, I guess we'll see how soft Foresters are, hmm?" She stood.

Scorchpoint nodded and gestured for Commons, Jazz, Tala, and Joyless to follow him. Scorchpoint drew back his lips to inhale deeply, revealing nasty, broken, jagged edged teeth the color of soot.
The rest of his mouth didn't look any better, blackened and scorched, hence his name.

Scorchpoint crouched down and slid along silently like a snake (the silent part was simple due to the soft terrain), and he crept through a break in the brambles.
The Foresters wouldn't see them until they were right next to them, on the border.
It would be like they came from nowhere.

OOC: 'Foresters': please don't RP seeing or hearing them until the rest of the chosen cats arrive next to them, on the border. Between the safe side and them.
Please RP your cats crossing the border...

[Loki]

"You sould be more careful." Sparrowhawk jumped daintly over the stream and joined Sinewpaw, cuffing the choosing over the head.
"So should you," Hissed Sinewpaw, "Badgers prefer Dewclan flesh, soft mougthed cats like you wouldn't have survived if it were not for the Tawnyclan claws."
Sparrowhawk narrowed his eyes. This apprentice... how rude...
Then he felt stupid. This was Lokistar's son. Populer with some clans for his cocky mouth. He's probably like this with the warriors at home...

Joyless followed Scorchpoint. Her gentle small paws making silent moving much more easier, her ears back and eyes watching straight, as if she was hunting a flock of Pheasants. If one called, the other was alerted and got away. She silently thanked Those above for this experiance.

[Longstorm]

Gingerleaf hissed to the other-clanners,
"Quiet," and he slowly crossed the border. "The wind is against us..."

The side of Scorchpoint's lip quirked slightly as he crept forward. It was hunting, and of the best sort.

Jace watched nervously as the old she-cat crept away with the others. How could these two toms, this Cold and Dark, be so calm?

Tala, strangely enough, felt calm. She felt... Protected, watched over. But by what, or by whom?

[Meany]

Blackfire and Snowfeather exchanged looks and crossed the border. Blackfire glanced back at Mistlight and the Darkclan apprentices. Would this be the last time he saw them?


Jazz followed the strange, silent warrior with the others. The ground here was so different from the cement paths of the City! If you weren't watching your very paws, it seemed as though the ground would eat you up.
Jazz suppressed a shudder and kept on.

[Runfast]

Cold watched the other cats go on, wishing he could join the front lines as well.

The moment of humor forgotten, Mosspaw mewed,
"What if Abyssclan is watching?"

Mistlight mewed,
"It's possible..." The cats fell silent, looking around.

[Longstorm]

OOC: Let's just say the Foresters have crossed... Can we all agree on that? No worries, no one's gonna die or anything.

IC: After the stronger Foresters had gone a ways past the border, Scorchpoint led the cats behind him out of the brambles. They approached from the side, only slightly behind them.
Scorchpoint sat down, faking being relaxed for the situation at hand.

Tala looked at the strange Foresters, wondering what would happen.

[Loki]

Sparrowhawk looked at the... new comers, shock on his face.

Joyless stood feeling... Useless, She then spoke, "You all... had a dream?"

[Longstorm]

Gingerleaf looked at the cats in shock. When had they got there? Hearing the she-cat question, he steeled himself and mewed,
"And if we did?"

Scorchpoint rolled his eyes. Typical.

Tala mewed,
"Either you did, or you didn't, youngster, don't waste my time."

[Runfast]

Cold's ears pricked up in surprise at the old she-cat's tart comment. He wasn't used to elderly cats, but he decided that he liked this one.

Commons 'pfft'ed and rolled her eyes, wishing she was somewhere else... And that my coat looked better, she thought when she spotted the rather handsome Forester toms.

[Loki]

"Yes we all did." Mewed Sparrowhawk, wanting to hurry up and leave.

"I see, " Joyless mewed, Thinking about what to do next.

[Longstorm]

Scorchpoint looked over the group of Foresters, somehwhat disappointed.

Tala mewed,
"Well. It would seem you cats don't like being here. Follow me," and just like that, she entered No-Clan's Land, shocking everyone.

[Ezziestar]

Brambleleaf flicked her ears, She waited for the others.

[Guest]

OOC: please enlighten me, im a lil' lost here.
IC: "Mother, who are these cats? Will they harm us?" "Are they really from the city?" "Are they freindly?" Pigeonwing's kits pleted her with questions, she felt like she was in a snowstorm of words.
"Hush, kits, we don't know them yet, leave the toms to handle this." she replied.

[Loki]

OOC: GH basically cats from ALL the clans have had the dream/prophecy. So they traveled to Abbysclan to find the broken moon etc. And These Cityclan & Abbysclan cats got the dream and they'v come to meet the Clan cats.

IC:
Joyless looked at the clan cats with emotionless expression and followed Tala, jumping over the stream into 'No-clans' land. Her tail flicked as she winced.

Sinewpaw exchanged a glance with Sparrowhawk and then joined the two waiting for everyone else.

[Longstorm]

Scorchpelt sighed and followed, the rest of the cats who weren't hiding following.

Gingerleaf mewed.
"So. Here we all are, then," he looked at the enemy cats warily.

[Loki]

"I'm guessing... We all need to work together and suss out this prophecy then..."
Joyless mewed.
Sinewpaw looked away in disgust.
Sparrowhawk flattened his ears... 'work together', and hedgehogs will fly!

[Ezziestar]

Brambleleaf wasn't too certain she liked the idea, but she didn't voice her arguments, she just felt a little tense.

[Meany]

Blackfire and Jazz stared at each other, neck fur bristling on both of them.

It was astonishing, the differences between the two groups; how the held themselves, their basic expressions (emotionless on one side, curious on the other) - even the colors of their pelts seem to differ!
While the Foresters coats seemed to be mainly forest-like colors, Cityclan's colors were brighter and more unnatural while Abyssclan's were darker, blending in to the shadows like they belonged there.

Snowfeather whispered to whoever could hear her,
"Maybe this wasn't the greatest idea..."

[Loki]

Joyless' ears flickered and she looked up as the vast crowd began to murmur comments of disapproval. She hissed a silence.
"Your clans are set to die," She reminded them, "There is trouble ahead, and working together
is the only way we can get through this prophecy, given to us by Those far more stronger then Starclan and perhaps even Those Above, not to mention those bellow. This is of great importance, and your all hesitating, that'll be your great weakness."

Sparrowhawk looked forward, she had a point, but she has a big mouth on her as well, stupid she-cat from Abbysclan. He spoke, "Why should we trust Abbysclan, who kill our loved one's and family, You monsters killed my mother." He stared with pure malice at them.

Sinewpaw felt horrible, what if I lost my mother?

Joyless hesitated, she was stuck. "Well... hasn't anyone ever made mistakes_"
"Mistake?" Sparrowhawk spat the word, "I bet you had a smile on your face."

Joyless snapped, "I'v never killed a cat in my life, Your clan is in as much peril as ours is... were offering help, and you..." She sneered, "You kick it at us? Were all strong then some of you and It would be easier for everyone for this ounce... to put our differences aside."

[Runfast]

Mistlight watched the Abyssclannians warily. She mewed,
"The she-cat has a point, Sparrowhawk." Mistlight looked at everyone. "'Deny this unity, and all will fall into the unknown...' Although I was raised to hate Abyssclan," she cast a nervous glance Scorchpoint's way, "I was also raised to put my Clan and ancestors above petty disagreements. Trusting them is..." She sighed. "A necessary evil."

Mosspaw looked at the giant claws on some of the cats and gulped. Were they really going to travel with these cats?

Commons kept wishing her pelt looked better than it currently did.

Cold, hidden, kept listening. Why couldn't they just put their differences aside for at least a little while so they could move on? Even Abyssclannians knew when to make compromises, which was more than he could say for these Foresters.

[Loki]

Joyless opened her mouth to say something when cracking of twigs was heard. For a moment they thought it was one of the search patrols but it was just some crows or pigeons fighting over something in the hedgerow.
"Were losing time, Decide now; your clans fate is in your paws forest clanners,"
Sparrowhawk flattened his ears and looked the other way, "After if you come near my
border I'll take revenge for my mother."
Joyless nodded, "Fine..."

"I'm in!" Purred Sinewpaw shaking his pelt of stream water.
Sparrowhawk looked at the small tom in a questioning way. Sinewpaw just looked
at these weird cats in curious wonder.

[Runfast]

Mistlight nodded and mewed,
"I was called for my Clan, so I will follow."

Mosspaw nodded, swallowing her fear the best she could.

Commons said nothing, just clawed at the clumps of dirt in her fur.

Cold nodded in approval, looking at Dark and Jace. Now that the two forces had joined, it seemed far more real now. Whatever lay beyond the mountains was now priority one.
