Apprentice training and hunting.

Lokistar padded Through the snow laden forest, leaving Nightpaw to watch over the servants of Abbysclan. Tigerflame, wolfpaw, Dayriser and Sunpaw, Solarstorm and Ezziesong and Stormpaw, Garnetheart and Swiftstrike. She looked back
at them, as the others slowed. They were now in the training hollow, for an assesment of progress.

Dang it no skypaw! Skypaw needs training!

Solarstorm turned to his apprentice, Skypaw, telling him to join the other apprentice's.
Lokistar sat and watched.
Wolfpaw shivered nervously, this was an assesment of how they were doing, he hoped it was well.
Solarstorm padded in front and began:
"No otherclan do these assesments. We are quite compassionate about the strength of our warriors,
So I hope all do well. Now the warm up test is a hunt, when time has ended you'll hear this:"
He nodded to Tigerflame who lifted his chin high and yowled loudly, Wolpaw Winced.

[Guest]

I can't wait to hunt." Thought Skypaw.

[Ezziestar]

The yowl made Stormpaw flinch, but he didn't show it. He began to tear at the ground with his claws, excitement pulsed through him, sending shivers down his spine. Hunting... Something he did plenty of when Ezziesong was too suspicious of where he was or where he went at night.

Garnetheart turned to Wolfpaw. "Im going to follow you, and watch your technique, just pretend im not there."

[Ezziestar]

Ezziesong spoke to Stormpaw, "I'll be assesing how well you go with your hunting... But I can't help you."
Stormpaw almost hissed, "I know! I wouldn't need your help anyway."
Ezziesong recoiled a bit, but she didn't retort or snap back.

Garnetheart had heard Stormpaws retort, he thought an apprentice should be more polite to his mentor, but then again, he didnt have an apprentice to 'refer' to, at least, not yet.
OOC: Im claimin' Silverkit as my future apprentice, and you cant stop meh! *maniacal laughter*

[Ezziestar]

((Fine with me, Ezziesong already has enough on her paws, besides, whoever mentors Stone (When he is announced as an apprentice) will have an even tougher challenge with him lol.))
Ezziesong was now suspicious of Stormpaw, what is it that's amking him so snappy all of a sudden? Maybe he was just a little fired up from earlier, despite it being in the past. Stormpaw turned away from his mentor angrily, She's treating me so much like a kit! I know all of these things, I don't need her telling me what to do.

[Loki]

"No..." Lokistar mewed Tigerflame... you asses Stormpaw, Ezzisong asses Skypaw."
The she-cat nodded and flicked her tail.
Wolfpaw turned and bounded of his nose high as he checked for scent, RABBIT! He bounded of in that certain direction.
Sunpaw looked down then turned and drove off into the forest looking around.

Tigerflame nodded to the deputy ashamed a little that Lokistar had told her differently and put him in her spot.

[Ezziestar]

Ezziesong was a little nervous, she was so accustomed to Stormpaw that now she just felt like a first timing mentor. She didn't question Lokistar though as she waited for Skypaw to head into the forest with the other apprentices.

Stormpaw bolted towards the forest, excitement pulsed through him, Fine then... I'll just have to impress Tigerflame then. Stormpaw skidded to a halt to scent the air, the first smell that came to him was... squirrel! Stormpaw crouched in the hunter's crounch instinctivly as he slowly drew himself towards a large Oak tree. The scent grew stronger, Stormpaw froze, he could hear a little scrabbling underneath.

The blood pulsed in his ears as he waited, the sound stopped as a little squirrel came out of it's hiding place. Stormpaw leaped for it, thanks to Falsecall's training, he now was much faster, stronger and accurate then before. He caught the squirrel's tail and before it got away, swiftly nipped it at the back of the neck, killing it instantly.

Garnetheart followed Wolfpaw. He could smell the prey he was tracking, but another prey scent stopped him. A pigeon! He dropped to his paws and veered off course.
The pigeon was the fattest he'd ever seen, so fat it couldnt even walk properly. Its stubby legs crumpled. (Wait, how can that be possible? Lets just say it is)
He pounced, the pigeon was dead in an instant.
Then, Garnetheart remembered who he had been following.
Where was everyone?

[Loki]

Tigerflame smiled from the tree he was sat on. "He's good isn't he?"
At that moment Lokistar appeared. "He uses moves that are... not Tawnyclan but combined
make him a threat to other clans."
She watched him for a second then sighed, "We must talk... later."
Tigerflame narrowed his eyes then nodded.

Wolfpaw had scented something weird. He padded towards it then jumped. from beneath him bleated.
it was a newborn dear! not quite small bigger then an warrior, if only... He attempted to sink his teeth
into it. The animal shook his head, wolfpaw blinked, this was... tough.

[Ezziestar]

Stormpaw covered up his prey, then he headed deeper into the forest, it wasn't long before the scent of mouse filled his nose. Stormpaw crouched again, he slowly and swiftly drew himself towards a small unused badger set. The rank scent of badger was weak, they haven't occupied this set in moons. There was a small bush just at the enterance, Stormpaw stayed silent, soon he could pick out that the bush was quivering a little. A small brown mouse, a well fed mouse too, crept out cautiously. Stormpaw pounced, yet again, another succesfull kill.

[Loki]

Not far off, Wolfpaw was trying hard to kill the dear calf. He finally got his teeth around it and waited a good while until it couldn't bleat. He let go and the glint in his eyes faded. Wolfpaw silently prayed to starclan and then Rainstorm came down from the trees above. "I'll watch this prey. You'll spend too long covering it up." Wolfpaw nodded and turned to go find something else. and later found himself chasing after a squirrel. "I can't believe its new leaf!" He mewed when returning the Squirrel to his "stock pile". Rainpelt nodded. Tawnyclan, unlike the other clans are well off. The thick forests give us the advantage of warmth and protection, prey thrive. I have I never saw a dear calf be left alone, perhaps his mother died."
"Then... That means a dear for the clan!"
"Yes, but I can only look after what you have caught..."
Wolfpaw turned away and it was not long before the mother was found...
Rainstorm praised him. "I think its time..."
Lokistar and Tigerflame leaped down, Lokistar looking pleased with the apprentice' outcome..
Tigerflame lifted his head high and yowled. Sure enough Sunpaw and Dayriser appeared, with two squirrels, a thrush, and a couple of mice.
Solarstorm sat by Rainstorm and the rest waited for Garnetheart and the others.

(OOC: pretend Skypaw did well, he caught three mice, a hedhog and two thrush')

Stormpaw returned, he had with him two mice and two squirrels, his prey was carried by thier tails.

Ezziesong helped carry Skypaw's catch, both Ezziesong and Stormpaw avoided each other's gazes.

[Loki]

Looks like Tawnyclan won't have to hunt tommorow..." Mewed Lokistar, noting the awkward silence from Ezziesong and Stormpaw. "Right then, Solarstorm, Tigerflame, Nightail and Rainstorm get the dear back to the
Camp lets get our kill back put all the food in the nursery... I believe Starclan have something to say..."

[Ezziestar]

Ezziesong headed back to camp, helping Skypaw carry the fresh kill. Stormpaw trotted off towards the camp, he brushed past Ezziesong with his tail held high, just to irritate her. Ezziesong ignored it, she didn't have to snap at him, he did well with his kill.

[Loki]

Lokistar troted forward and padded past Stormpaw, "I'll be having a word with you , apprentice."
She passed him. The cats who had been bringing the doe and calf back all looked loosly around, the day was good.

[Ezziestar]

Stormpaw blinked at Lokistar, I hope she didn't find out about Falsecall, I don't want to leave Tawnyclan.

Garnetheart decided to follow the trees back to camp. Dragging the pigeon with him, he went back the way he came, or thought he came.
Even then, the trees started to get really thick, until he couldnt see two cat-lengths ahead of him. He stumbled in the undergrowth, and his pigeon started to get heavy for some reason. Maybe he was just tired.
OOC: yup ppl, he's lost in his own territory. lol
