Hunting in the Territory

Fireshade padded through the lush forest, his eyes flickering here and there, alert for any danger. The gray tom had hoped to practice his speed and to sharpen his senses by hunting prey. Also, he would contribute to his clan. However, Fireshade didn't care about his clan, except that he could live there. He only cared about getting revenge on Kyaine for killing his parents and mate. His evil brother just had to ruin his life! At this thought, his cerulean eyes narrowed into slits of anger. Fireshade pricked up his ears at the sound of scuffling at the top of a birch.

The gray tom crouched, and waited until a tiny black head popped out. His eyes brightened, and he bounded up the tree. Each step was taken quietly. Fireshade finally got to the top, and, with great skill, smacked his paw at the bird, knocking it out. He delivered the killing bite, and purred at his kill. Fireshade picked up his lifeless fresh-kill and carried it down the tree. "Now, what to hunt next?" he wondered aloud.

OOC: My first RP of this character! Wow, I can't believe I can describe what he feels so well! Guess that's because he's like my most FAVORITE CHARACTER EVAH!

IC: A black falcon circled the air above. He spotted a cat. Since he didn't have a nose, he couldn't tell which clan it came from.
Not wanting to alert the cat, he swooped to a nearby branch and perched, watching, observing, in the manner of his distant cousin the raven.

Fireshade opened his jaws, drawing in the multitude of scents from the forest. The scent of Tawnyclan, plants and prey all streamed into his nose. The gray warrior filtered the scents until only the prey scent was left. He smelled a bird nearby-a black falcon. He tracked it down to a tree and looked up. There it was, observing him. Strange, why didn't it fly away when it saw me? Shrugging of the thought, he silently crept up the tree from the other side, ready to catch his prey.

OOC: u noe Rook is currently in the ctas quest following Garnetheart, right?
IC: The breeze carried the sound of a soft padding of paws. Rook watched the xat stalk around the tree and thought, Dumb cat, you think I cant see you?

OOC: Let's just say this was in the past.

IC: Rook shifted his position to keep the cat in sight.
