CLOSED Hunting for the Rebellion

Sunmist, a ginger-and-white she-cat, was hunting with her brother Gorseclaw (a beige-like tom). The two were hunting for the Darkclan Rebellion. There were many kits in the Rebellion, so they were hunting as well as they could.
"Ugh," groaned Gorseclaw, shaking snow off of his paw. "Starclan above, why does there always have to be snow when we hunt?"
Sunmist laughed.
"Maybe because they just like to see you shiver, Gorseclaw!"
Gorseclaw shook his head while his sister laughed, and continued sniffing for prey.

[Runfast]

Goldkit, eldest of the 'colored three', had made his way out of the Ice Shell and was following the two warriors. He sniffed as hard as he could, trying to copy the hunting techniques - but all he got a noseful of powdery snow.
"a-CHOO!" He looked around, the little yellow tom wondering if the warriors had heard him.

[Longstorm]

OOC: May as well finish this.

IC: Sunmist's and Gorseclaw's ears pricked up at the sound of the high-pitched sneeze. They looked at each other.
Goldkit, they thought as one, as they sometime would. Sunmist signaled for Gorseclaw to follow her. Her brother cocked his head, but he followed Sunmist between some frozen pines and found they were looping back around the trees to come up behind Goldkit.
The two simultaneously dropped into the hunter's crouch and slowly creeped up on the unsuspecting kit. Sunmist's eyes glittered wickedly as she padded stealthily, Gorseclaw's own yes glimmering good-humoredly.
'They got closer and closer and closer until...They struck!
Gorseclaw scooped up Goldkit suddenly while Sunmist crowed, "GOTCHA!"

[Runfast]

Goldkit squealed in surprise as he was lifted off of the ground, thinking that a predator had caught him or something. He flailed in Gorseclaw's grasp and unsheathed his little claws, trying to claw anything that came near.

[Longstorm]

Sunmist jerked back out of Goldkit's reach when his small, sharp claws connected with her nose. "Whoa! Steady, little warrior. It's only Gorseclaw and Sunmist!" Gorseclaw gently set the kit down in the snow, giving a reassuring purr. Sunmist licked her nose, tasting blood. "Good shot," she mewed approvingly, nose smarting.
Gorseclaw's whiskers twitched in amusement. Sunmist glared at her brother but he just shrugged and looked at the kit at his paws. "What are you doing out the the 'Shell, Goldkit," he said sternly. "You know Skyecho worries."
Sunmist nodded. "Yes, Goldkit. Kits aren't supposed to leave the Willow."

[Runfast]

Goldkit looked up at the warriors, ashamed that he had been so scared of his half-siblings! "I'm hunting," he mewed defiantly. "Hunting for Skyecho and Redfall!" He'd seen the two together, it'd make sense if he was hunting for them...right? Goldkit ducked his head and peeked up at the warriors, hoping he wouldn't get into trouble.

[Longstorm]

Gorseclaw and Sunmist exchanged a look. "Likely story," Gorseclaw mewed over the kit's head to her brother.
Sunmist smiled. "But so thoughtful!" They looked down at Goldpaw thoughtfully.

[Runfast]

Goldkit looked at his half-siblings nervously. "Am I in trouble?" He asked with a defiant pout, though his tail quivered.

[Longstorm]

The two littermates waited about four beats - 1, 2, 3,4 - before laughing in their own ways. "Not yet, Goldkit," Gorseclaw purred. "But we're taking you home."
"So you won't be in trouble at all," Sunmist meowed. "Before Skyecho and the others realize you've vanished! Then you're really be in trouble."
The two nodded seriously, though their whiskers twitched and their eyes glimmered.
"Skyecho will be worried," Gorseclaw gently reminded the kit.

[Runfast]

Goldkit's face fell as he thought about worrying Skyecho. "I dn't mean to," he mumbled ashamedly as he looked at his big fluffy paws. "Or hurt your nose," he glanced up at Sunmist before looking away.

[Longstorm]

Gorseclaw and Sunmist smiled at each other. "Didn't hurt much," Sunmist assured him.
Though she wasn't particularly close to the young tom (on account of him being Blueblossom's son), she couldn't deny that he was a lovely-humored kit.
Gorseclaw thought much the same, though he didn't dislike Blueblossom as his sister did.
"Come on, little warrior," Gorseclaw meowed kindly, heading back towards the Willow. "Let's get you back."
Sunmist meowed in agreement, flicking the kit's back with her tail in a friendly way.

[Runfast]

Goldkit nodded meekly and followed big his half-brother. He looked back at Sunmist uncertainly when she flicked his back, but relaxed when she seemed to be friendly about it. "Okay..." The kit shivered, his paws unused to the deep snow compared to the packed snow of the 'Willow.
He was disappointed that he hadn't caught anything like he'd wanted. Oh, well...
The yellow tom picked up his big, fluffy paws higher to make sure they didn't get caught in the deep snow.

[Longstorm]

Gorseclaw glanced back and he and his sister shared an amused look once more, then they turned their heads homeward.

IC: Goldkit followed, and wondered what the next day would have in store for him after reaching home...
