CLOSED Roaming Madly - One Days After the Gathering

[Longstorm]

Thornstar, leader of Darkclan (OOC: Almost typed ABYSSCLAN! lol), was pacing in the camp clearing, the cold mountain winds blowing about furiously.
"Where's Blueblossom!" He yowled to no one. She had disappeared the previous night, but Thornstar didn't feel like searching for her.

[Longstorm]

OOC: Here I am - sorry

IC: Watching from his den, Silverfur's eyes shone in the darkness.
"So..." He was thinking. "Not only has Blackpaw vanished, but so has our leader's beloved mate!"

From the other side of the clearing approached Sleetcoat and Rainfoot. Sleetcoat with his dingy white fur was speaking to his former appentice.
"Rainfoot," he growled as they walked up to Thornstar.
The ragged gray tom mewed back,
"Yes, Sleetcoat?"
"We must watch Thornstar now. We must be his protection against all that is evil, and we must watch out for Redfall and his betrayers!"
Rainfoot nodded, taking in all that his former mentor was saying. Without Redfall, Longflight was like the stand-in deputy while Sleetcoat was the senior warrior, so that made Sleetcoat all the more important to the young warrior.

The two arrived in front of Thornstar and they dipped their heads.
"Thornstar," mewed Sleetcoat. "It would seem that Blueblossom has joined the usurpers." He didn't know for sure - that was a guess.

[Runfast]

Eating his fresh-kill, Longflight nearly choked at Sleetcoat's statement. Sleetcoat didn't know that for sure!

Foxpaw looked out around, thinking about his brother and how he hadn't come back from the Gathering the previous night. When he had told Thornstar, he brushed him off, saying that his ceremony would be today... So should Blackpaw's! He sighed and went back to grooming his fur, wondering what his name would be.

[Longstorm]

Thornstar turned on Sleetcoat, raking his claws across his face.
"LIES! SHE'D NEVER...." He fell silent, realization flickering across his murky amber eyes. "She..." He sat down, thinking of Jaycall, thinking of the three kits of theirs that were stolen, thinking of the kits she was expecting. Then it all faded from his mind, like the so-called missing apprentice. "No matter, then," he hissed. "I have a ceremony to perform!" He ran to the far end of the clearing and jumped onto the dark stone. "Let all cats who are old enough to catch their own prey get over here - NOW!"

[Runfast]

Longflight swallowed his breakfast then went over to the Dark Rock.
"Foxpaw," he hissed. "Hurry!"
Foxpaw came out of the apprentice's den, his fur shinier then usual, but he looked ashamed.
"I don't want to be a warrior... Not without Blackpaw."
Longflight looked down at the apprentice and murmured in understanding.
All the same, Foxpaw looked up at Thornstar, willing to face the ceremony without his brother.

[Longstorm]

Thornstar looked down at the young tom and yowled,
"It is now time for this apprentice to become a warrior! Longflight! You told me that this apprentice was ready! Now, I go before Starclan-" he suppressed a laugh - "and I ask this apprentice: Do you promise to protect this clan, and fight for the lost cause that it is?"

Smokepelt padded out of the den to watch the ceromony.

Robinsong watched her father from the shadows, glowering at him with cloudy eyes.

[Longstorm]

OOC: Let's just say he said 'I do'

IC: "Then by the 'powers' of Starclan, I give you your warrior name! Foxpaw, from this day on you'll be known as 'Foxclaw'... I don't know why, but you just will be! Maybe you'll learn to be more fierce in battle with a name like that..." Thornstar looked around and laughed sickly. "And that's it! He's Foxclaw!" He jumped off of the stone and went into his den, still laughing.

Sleetcoat and Rainfoot looked at each other - should they call out the new Warrior's name? Sleetcoat shrugged and went to the warrior's den.

Silverfur looked to where Thornstar had gone then looked at the sky. He needed to speak to Starclan - it was long overdo. He stood and left the camp.

Foxclaw looked around, feeling embarressed. That wasn't how he imagined his ceremony at all!

Longflight felt as bad as Foxclaw did, and he went up to him.
"You've got to stay silent until tomorrow morning, Foxclaw...you best start your vigil now."

Foxclaw nodded silently and went to the entrance of the camp.

Longflight watched him, then left the camp - he was going to hunt.
"Robinsong - want to hunt with me?"
