CLOSED High intentions part 2

[Loki]

"I wonder what their like!" Quail's childish voice echoed through the alley way.
"Who knows..." Ice mewed with irritation.
Eyeless padded by Quail's side. She could see the large boxes of smelly carrion,
the glow of moon light on a shiny two-leg pebble and she felt surprisingly familiar with the
scent.
"Are they still alive?" her voice wavered.
Ice snorted, Quail smiled fondly at her, "I'm not sure, but even if they are not, it shouldn't matter.
we'll have a look around the area, see if there are any who could join us..."
She looked at her paws.
He looked on.
Iced sighed.

"Right!" mewed Quail enthusiastically, "where do we go from here?"
"WHAT!?" spat Ice," I thought you knew the city!"
"Oh... I said that?" Mewed Quail dumbstruck.
Ice's claws glistened and he bared his teeth...
"By the law of those bellow!"

[Meany]

From the top of one of the Two-leg contraptions, Yami watched the strangers. The scent was partially familiar, but he couldn't place it.
I should tell someone... But should I? Yami wasn't too sure what to do. He could tell someone - but all the possible escape routes would go past the strangers, or would make too much noise. Either way, he would be noticed.
What do I do?

OOC: He's the shy/unambitious/non-violent version of Jace.

[Loki]

Ice looked up and smiled coldly. He shouldered Quail and nodded towards the strange cat.
"You from the group of cats known as Cityclan?"
"Ah! Ice you sound so scary!" Mewed Quail accusingly.
"We want to speak with your leader!"
Ice spat angrily and looked away.

[Meany]

Yami's eyes widened. I've been spotted! Thoughts whirling at a thousand miles an hour, he shook his head. Can't let them... What? I don't know, I don't - He had it. He knew where he'd scented these types before.
The Blood Cliffs... Where all those other cats vanished to! "Why? WHat business do you have with those fox-brains?"

[Loki]

"We want their allegiance of course!" Quail mewed boyishly.
Ice looked as if he could tear Quail's throat out and hissed angrily.
"Why?" he butted in, "Do you know where they are?"

[Meany]

Yami fixed his amber gaze on Quail, taking in the cat's overall appearance.
They're fighters... Beaters... Cityclan isn't made of that... He looked at Ice and mewed,
"And what if I did? Would I... get something?" He hoped he sounded like Jace - tough, and smart.

[Loki]

"The lord offers his allegiance," Mewed Quail simply, "He can give you land when the battle is won."
Ice shouldered him, "Those who defy and stand in his way will be crushed," He hissed angrily, "Time wasters and
those who refuse his law."

[Longstorm]

Relay, a pretty black she-cat, watched from the top of a building (OOC: The buildings here are highly accessible), her long, thin tail waving.
What had Yami gotten himself into? It wasn't like him to go out of his way to meet other cats, so he must have stumbled upon these cats by accident.
If only she could hear them...
Relay looked around the roof - there! A drain pipe that lead all the way to the bottom. Relay padded over to it, placing a single ear to it.

"Time wasters and those who refuse his law."

[Loki]

"Please," Mewed Quail, holding his paw out playfully, "Ice, don't be so rash, We want Cityclans allegiance. Were... we'll explein to their leader... surely, surely your tired of the sister clan attacking and taking your kits? the Lord offers allegiance to... provide special protection."
Eyeless looked around, maybe she'd meet her mother.
Ice narrowed his eyes at Quail.

[Meany]

Yami thought about what the two were saying.
It's not quite like that, he thought. It's an agreement we've had for seasons... Does everyone really think we're that bad off? How insulting.
"Well," he mewed briskly. "If I can join, then I guess there's no point in not taking you to Cityclan..."

OOC: Is it okay if I lead them into a trap? Satin, the leader, made it known (via PM, lol) where the dog pack was staying in the City...

[Loki]

Ice narrowed his eyes, "Try anything and we'll skin you alive."
Quail laughed as if he'd just said a terrible joke, "Ignore him. We'll follow you
but Ice's phrase shouldn't go unheard." He studied The tom in front of him with
Ghostly eyes. "We already have City clan cats that have joined us... how... how
upset they'd be if not all was well."
(OOC: Sure, I'll warn you Qauil's more dangerous then Ice though.)

[Meany]

OOC: Thanks - we'll see if my cat can escape this alive, lol.

IC: Yami dipped his head and turned away, his silvery, long tail just sweeping the round.
"This way," he padded down the alley way. Just past the tallest dumpsters... Near the Suburbs, but more in a clump of trees, between the dead monsters. (OOC: Old truck stop).

[Loki]

"Do you have a name?" Quail mewed. His white eyes that gave the impression of blindness swept over The tom several times as if scanning him and taking in his every detail.
The ground was hard and rough here. Much unlike the soft, Oozy, stiky red mud from home. Quail was born raised and taught there. Unlike the other generals he had a very different teacher. Life was his mentor and father. He was the only surviving kit out of every one of his litters. Blind born until his magic and second in line for the Life passer throne.
Ice trotted with ease on the hard ground. This is where I came from? He looked around, I hate it.
Being taken when he was too young to remember, he didn't care for the place of his origin. He knew that one of the powerfuls, Knife, was from Cityclan. That was it. Was he weak? So many rumors...

[Longstorm]

Relay watched Yami lead the cats away from the Council House... But to where was he taking them? Relay abandoned her post, leaping onto a board that spanned across two two-leg buildings, quietly pursuing the group.
She quickly recognized the route. Relay bit back a cry of warning, fearing for Yami. Not that she'd admit it to anyone, she'd grown to care for the reserved Gatherer, and she didn't want to see him dead in the jaws of a dog...
But I don't want these strange cats hurting them either - why else would he be leading them there? Yami is no murderer, so it must be for the sake of the Clan! Relay felt a rush of admiration that she batted away in embarrassment. If only our sister-Clan were here.. With a single strike, an Abyssclan warrior would do away with all who would threaten us!

OOC: Just to say: When Abyssclan 'raids' Cityclan for kits, it's all a lie. See, Abyssclan and Cityclan agreed that every four-eight months Abyssclan could take kits that had been born in the past two months; if the kits present had been born in the past three or so, they couldn't take them.
When Abyssclan comes in all guns blazing, they don't actually hurt anyone. It's all an act, for appearances sake - they wouldn't dare harm their kin.
Cityclan is possibly the only thing Abyssclan loves.

[Meany]

Yami nodded, looking ahead. His confidence was fading somewhat. Yami was no expert tracker, but he was sure that the Red-Hillers would smell the dogs before they saw them.
"Y-Yami." He tried to steady himself, forcing his fur flat.

OOC: Another smell will block it out.

[Loki]

(OOC: ok, I was remembering the time when (hawkfires site) When you RPed the taking of the kits some of you posted that you'd injured and even (I can't remember if runfast or you posted it) but one of you killed one... or the ideas changed lol, how ever Falsecall may have got the wrong idea)

Ice scented the air and nearly choked, the fumes of monsters caused his nose to dribble in irritation and his ears rotated like radars for a noise any noise...
When something hit him. Surely. Where are all the City clanners. Mudbloodclan had taken many cats from the city but by now they should have seen a cat by now...
"Where are the other City clanners?" He demanded.

[Meany]

Yami almost jumped.
"S-sorry, the fumes are freaking me out..." And there's the sunlight. "And that's why Cityclan is hiding! They're not used to so many monsters being around, and they're not around here very often. So they're hiding inside of that old two-leg building," he gestured to a small hole in the side of the building, between to large two-leg monsters.

[Loki]

"I see..." Said cold, His mew became icy with suspicion, "Why don't you go into the hole and get them for us?"
He steadied him self, "How curious it is that Cityclan are not used to the city fumes, perhaps its a busy year for the monsters..."
Quail felt the wicked smile spread across his small face. He glanced back to Eyeless who
was looking as if she'd seen a ghost.
Suddenly, he had the idea, Falsecall had told them to bring her for a good reason.
"Feather... Come by me." He purred encouragingly. She
obeyed with a look of stupid confusion crossing her face.
He was behind the tom and Ice was steadying behind him, clocking his motives.
"Feather dear, You'll be awarded with a rabbit and a warm nest when we get home for coming with me.
I think I'd be so scared if you weren't with me..."
Eyeless smiled weakly at him.

[Meany]

Yami's eyes narrowed, trying to determine what they would do next.
"You can't be that strong it you're afraid of Cityclan... Besides, Cityclan doesn't care for me."

[Loki]

Quail laughed, "I'm not scared of Cityclan!" He obviously thought that was a joke.
He then came to a whisper as if someone dangerous were listening. "The redhills, are
not only red because of the clay, but the wolves."
Eyeless gave a low squeak. "Ain't no one gonna survive if you cross paths with one of them.
Nasty beauties they are. five times the size of your common dog, fangs as long as two cats and mad red
eyes that stare into the darkness beneath your soul. Of course," He looked around him expecting one to jump out at the name," Wolves don't come down this far. In a bad winter they attempted to breach the bloodcave, nasty shock when the Lord jumped on them. Mighty wise move that was..." He laughed and Eyeless shivered uncomfortably.
"Thing is... they won't mess with more than five mudbloodclan cats, The lord reckons they could be useful..."
"Quail..." Ice warned from behind. If Quail heard it he'd ignored it. Wolves were his specialty.
"I saw my mother get shredded by one you know."
"Beuty she was, harmless she-cat... she was taking me for a walk you see, we were out with the other youngsters about to go into training. It came, killed half of us and ran off as quick as it came. Nice vision to live with that. Seeing the mangled body of your mother dangling from the mouth of something so..."
Ice was sure Quail's childish voice wavered.
"Anyway..." He mewed changing supject," enough about home, The lord wants us back by dark Yami...
I'm sure your clan must value your existence in some way?"

[Meany]

Yami flattened his ears, trying to make the ruse more convincing.
"I am not a part of Cityclan! Do you think I'd bunk with that lot of flea-bitten mice!" He took a deep breath. "But, if you really want me to go in first," he mewed it in a sung-song way, and padded towards the entrance.

[Loki]

Ice nodded," I see."
He looked around him warily and followed after Yami.

[Longstorm]

Relay watched in horror as her friend padded into the dog's den.
He's gonna die in there... Unless he knows something I don't know... Relay could only hold her breath.

OOC: Dear God, please tell me he does.

[Loki]

Ice stopped.
"After you my dear," Mewed Quail sweetly to eyeless.
She padded in and Quail purred to Ice so he could be the only to hear, "Stay here, I'll call if its safe."
"You believe him?" Ice almost gasped.
"Of course,"Quail answered sweetly, though a trace of sarcasm could not be mistaken.

Eyeless went in after Yami, something smells odd...

[Meany]

OOC; And this is where it gets complicated.....

IC: Paws frozen, Yami lead the cats into the pack's den.
What am I doing? What am I doing!?!? I shouldn't be here - I should have lead them to the real Cityclan, not here! And now I'm going to die... For some reason, that word calmed him entirely. He was going to die, end of story.
They were approaching where the pack was. There was no turning back now.
This next turn. The scent of monsters was suddenly gone, only the hot, stinking breath of the dogs in the air, all around them.
THey turned the corner and there they were - the huge, waking up, hungry dogs. The pack leader spotted them and howled, waking up the others.
From behind, another dog snarled.
This was it. Yami was going to die.
