Spirepaw and Nightpaw of RoseClan, accompanied by Swiftwind of TawnyClan, were on their way to their home territory to tell the leaders of the pseudo-Clans that the main Clans were willing to stand with them - or let them stand with them - whichever way it was.

Swiftwind set a fair pace with the apprentices. He kept a close eye on them and so far their journey had been a quiet one. As quiet as a journey could be with the rain's soft murmur and the squelch of mud and foliage under paw.
It seemed to be falling with a little less ferocity, which was a nice change. It was difficult to see with this haze of water vapour clouding the air and damp fur was no laughing matter.
He couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed at this quest.
"So..." He asked the apprentices, "how's life been on your neck of the woods?"

The apprentices kinda frowned and didn't really say anything in response. They were nervous and didn't really trust Swiftwind, and they hadn't wanted an escort in the first place. Just because he was there didn't mean that they had to be nice to him.

So they weren't. And I guess they kept walking and stuff.
