Redfall's nose twitched.
"I smell foxdung," he mewed to Mistpaw.

Mistpaw sniffed and frowned.
"Yeah... strange smelling fox..." She shrugged. She was imagining things.

Redfall looked at the cats in the clearing, still hiding.
"Where's Abyssclan," he wondered aloud.

Seeming to come from nowhere, a sleek, dark shape with massive claws jumped onto the large stone.
It was Searingeyes, his golden eyes glinting.

Instead of hiding in the bushes (since most of them were dead), the cats of Abyssclan streamed into the clearing, surrounding the crowd of cats, a circle of wide shoulders and reinforced claws.

Searingeyes looked mildly surprised to see Thornstar, but he brushed it off.

Lokistar stood and looked down at the late comers. "Are all your warriors, one leg short or is you being late a product of not being bothered at the world?" Some Tawnyclan cat muttered their agreement.

Searingeyes smirked and mewed,
"The latter, naturally." He was far more calm this Gathering for some reason... He wasn't too sure why. He looked out at the cats from all clans (minus Moonclan), his eerie golden eyes shining silver in the moonlight.

Lokistar shook her head and looked at him as if scolding a naughty kit.
Something caught her eye. A movement in the hedge? Tigerflames confused mew
caught her attention. "Can you smell that fox dung?" Lokistar nodded down at him.
"Take Darkcloud and have a look around," She mewed sternly, agitatedly.
"Yes Lokistar." Solarstorm sneered at the Abbysclanions, "Loyalty to our leader comes first..."

Cunningheart, large and powerful, sneered right back at Solarstorm, her reinforced claws clacking on the frozen snow.
Tiger, taking point from her, bared his small teeth, his own back reinforced claws clacking (Choosings didn't receive their full set of teeth until they were Warriors).

Searingeyes looked around slowly, smelling the air.

Thornstar glared at Searingeyes and hissed quietly,
"Shadowstar hasn't been to a Gathering in some time, has he? How's his health?" Thornstar snickered.

Slowly, the young Powerful fixed the Darkclan Leader with his eerie stare for a long, long moment. Thornstar looked away quickly, his neck fur on end, tail twitching.

In the crowd, Blueblossom caught the slightest whiff of a familiar scent.
"Redfall?" she whispered.
She looked at Blackpaw and gestured to where the scent had seemed to come from.
