The Lone Stranger Empty The Lone Stranger

Post by Rainpelt Wed May 23, 2012 6:21 am

The last stars were just withdrawing from the dark sky when a black shadow flitted among the gathering darkness from the dawning of the new day. Its steps were uncertain, but not timid as the figure boldly approached the edge of TawnyClan's territory.

The Lone Stranger Empty Re: The Lone Stranger

Watchful eyes glinted ominously across the dark clearing. The many owners of these starry orbs dared this stranger to cross. Mudbloodclan, feeling the icy breathe of coming battle, were excitedly running patrols. These patrols kept the young minds from fretting and over thinking any doubts while also keeping eye on progress outside their newly established territory.
The strange cats that had been leeched from the bloody red, clay hills from the highlands anticipated any rebellion against them. Beware this is our territory, our mass numbers are prepared to kill.
The bared fangs and narrowed eyes practically hummed this.
Their contrasting builds did not hesitate to show themselves.

Now, let's see. Oh, yes, here is the stream. Ah, what wonderful, clear water! All I have to do is just follow it until I get to the outer part of TawnyClan territory and-- Here the stranger's musings were abruptly halted by a faint noise. A rustle from a mouse. A mere rustle most would just brush off as imagined. But the dark loner has not been idle.
With a silent spring it landed on the victim, and within a few heartbeats the captured was killed and rapidly disappearing in the loner's mouth. Not able to fill its belly for many days, the ebony stranger had to suppress the gnawing feeling until now. Licking its lips, it padded over tot he stream for a cleansing dip before heading back on its path toward its destination.

Hiding alongside the Mudblood cats, was Stormclaw. He unsheathed and sheathed his claws, his right paw was stained in blood and he was crouched low behind his 'clanmates'.
His normally calico pelt was filled with dust and ashes, for he hadn't cleaned himself in ages since the battle with Tawnyclan. His pelt was dull and his scent was weak, he listened with careful ears, perked for the slightest of sounds. His clear green eyes glared at the stranger, though he refused to rush ahead. His body was tense, and he didn't move a muscle, he was ready to race in, excitement pulsed through his veins. Soon... Soon.
He waited for the right moment.

OOC: Sorry Rainpelt Sad
IC:
The loner moved across. The moon shone brilliantly on his back as he looked around himself with much hesitation. There were many rumors that buzzed like lost flies. Rumors that told of murderous cats with mo empathy whatsoever. Was it true? Well this cat had come to find out. For those of the city, the kitty pets... or what was left of them.

He didn't want to cross the stream, no one said anything about getting paws wet. He trod with care and dislike of the cold water as it glided past his paws.

((Hey RP! Very Happy I don't know who adopted your loner, so sorry about that. But welcome back!))

Stormclaw hesitated, this cat wasn't close enough for him to run in. It was unusual that such a stranger should be travelling alone. He was waiting, looking around, expecting other cats to join this stranger. To his surprise, there was no one else, Stormclaw tensed his muscles, ready to rush in if needed. He waited, only willing to race in if the mudbloods did also, since he knew he could easily misjudge the strength of his opponent. The sudden memory of Stone reached Stormclaw's mind. The tom was younger, yet he fought with equal strength and endurance as Stormclaw, whom was a full fledged warrior.
