Avengers Assemble
I don't know whether or not who has watched this and who has not. I severely recommend you watch this if your into a bit of physiological, action, comedy and adventure. I loved this from the moment to start to Finnish. I was very impressed.
I think Joss Whedon deserves a medal for this. I was thinking when my brother first mentioned to me about this movie I was actually pessimistic at first. Why? Because generally its really hard to put five character with extreme contrast in their characteristics together. I think this is why it worked so well is that Joss made it possible by not having them directly work together until they more or less had to. The quarelling was an excellent, original idea. I liked it.
I also liked how he made Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) actually work really well together and even form a bond. I thought that was well thought out how Tony had analyzed the guy.
I'll warn you now: I'm an Ironman fan. I love Robert Downey Jr. I love him! I think out of all the characters, Tony had the most character building. We find how sensitive he is (agent [censored] death really affected him] and some of the things
Steve Rogers / Captain America (Chris Evans) said to him were harsh but I cracked up at all his comebacks. He's always a powerful character, even in the marvel comics.
With Captain America my judgement is still ticking. I never watched his flim because the trailer failed to capture my attention. My bro watched it and hadn't really cared much for it either. When I saw him in this I didn't really like him. Not Crhis but Steve as a character. I just find him obnoxious and like Tony said:
- Spoiler:
- "Everything special about him comes from a bottle.
I liked the Hulk. The comedy used with him in this movies was amazingly hilarious and well thought out. I thought Bruce Banner was played exceedingly well, I haven't watched any of the Hulk movies but I think I might if its quality is as good as this movie was. I liked his relationship with Tony. I don't quite understand on how it was the hulk that Loki... never mind
Thor (Chris Hemsworth), meh. He looked tearful throughout I was neutral about him... I thought he did a good part in the movie made me laugh. If I were to critisize about this movie:
- Spoiler:
- I would critisize this:
When Tony first... meets Thor in a lil' battle, Thor whacks him with a bit of lightening which gives Tony 410% energy (epicly boosting his power)
The director could have used this to his advantage and make the last few scenes where the thing in Tony's heart loses power and he is seemingly dead. Thor could have used the lightening to get his heart thing going again and then hulk could have done his thing...
Hawkeye and Blackwidow (Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson) had probably the least screen time in the movie, which was okay with me because I found the two characters a bit.. eh. I liked the badassness of Blackwidow and how Hawkeye was good with an arrow cool. But that was it. I just don't find the character interesting, BUT I am not saying they were not played well.
Now we get to my guy: Loki
Loki (Me knowing Norse mythology) has to be the most misunderstood baddie of all time. I would like to see a movie where the dude is cut some slack (this is because in many of the tails although Loki caused a lot of trouble a lot of it ended up in a lot of good... apart from Ragnarok...) I think Avengers came close to being a bit fairer to the character and Tom Hiddleston did a fine job of playing my mischievous god. I liked the creepy smiling and I found it hard to interpret this characters actual... point of starting a war was. And then fell sorry for him when it was just pent up anger caused by confusion. I liked that, it seemed like a bit of vindication for the guy.
I thought the sadistic level was well contained and Tom made evil look good... sort of...
Agent Fury doesn't need a review. You forget Samuel L. Jackson is an actor and Nick Fury is fiction too easily, which is always good. So hats off to you mate.
But that's it. The plot was original, but I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to Avengers 2 and am bustling with eagerness for Ironman 3.
PLEASE go and watch this movie. I frigging loved it! I'm gonna go and by the dvd and watch it ten more times... maybe more...

Re: Avengers Assemble
I think I'm in love with Robert at the mo but I loved the part where Thor and Hulk did all that fighting and then Banner just punches him out of nowhere! I LOOOOOOOVED IT!

Re: Avengers Assemble
Two words I have to say.
Avengers. FTW.
Then again, I was in the back with a slingshot and Lemonheads the whole time, I only caught the badassery of the fighting scenes. The rest of the time, I was shooting people.

Xd I haven't given anything away!
(Don't want to ruin it for the other Marvel fans)
I do have my own personal fav. parts, but not going to say what they are, simply because I understand LS's frustration.
(I'll never forget the movie... the first time I caught up with my friends *3 guy friends and my crush * for a few months... if ever.)

Re: Avengers Assemble
I prefer Marvel over DC myself... But I LOVE Batman... So..... yep!
Which brings me to my next point.
Which DC character do you prefer, and which Marvel character would you prefer?
