But don't worry - there will be a time in Abyssclan where names aren't so permanent.

Something to do with his attitude, or something dark he resembles. I mean, we got Shadesun out of a dark gray cat with orange eyes, and Cunningheart from a white she-cat with black markings...
Perhaps if you went with a darker pelt color?

That personality description isn't going to fly - it's too generic (that means: characteristic of or relating to a class or group of things; not specific). Your character needs to be similar, but different from the other cats in his clan.
