After the Vigil
Gorseclaw and Sunmist, siblings in DarkClan, both slowly stood as the sun's first light began to creep into their camp.
Sunmist gave Smokepelt, the deceased warrior before, one last, long look before turning away. She brushed past Gorseclaw in a stiff manner, one that did not go unnoticed.
She's been different since Smokepelt died, thought the beige tom. Gorseclaw padded away from Smokepelt, looking for Redstar, but then he thought twice.
He'd been planning on asking who was going to patrol, but he'd remembered they had a deputy, and it was deputies who set up patrol. Gorseclaw looked around for Hollowstripe.
Silverpaw crept out of the apprentice's den warily, not looking over at Smokepelt's body. She wanted to hunt, to train, to spar - to do anything but think!

Re: After the Vigil
Bronzepaw followed his sister out and glowered around the camp. He figured he was still very much in hot water ever since he'd stupidly told Redstar about the loners he'd been helping in their territory.
Why in the name of StarClan did I tell the leader of a paranoid Clan about outsiders in their territory? Stupid, stupid, stupid!
But he had to leave the camp. He had to tell them that Redstar had put out the hit on them.
The brown tom slunk out of the camp.
Lightningpelt, still near the body of her dead brother, sighed heavily. She would miss him terribly.
Cloudfeet came out of the warrior's den, stretching and purring in the sunlight. Then he remembered. He stopped stretching and a solemn look was in his eyes. He padded over to Gorseclaw and mewed,
"Will we be patrolling?"

Re: After the Vigil
Goldpaw touched his nose to Lightingpelt's fur and whispered, "Are you ready?" Longfur was approaching Smokepelt, ready to take his body away to his final resting place.
Redstar went away from Smokepelt's body, his eyes dark. He looked around and called curtly, "Hollowstripe - Sleetcoat - Sorestar - Gorseclaw - Sunmist - Jaycall." He was calling his most senior warriors. "Come to my den."
The red tom turned and entered his den.
OOC: New topic.

Re: After the Vigil
OOC: Got it
IC: Hollowstripe, curtly lifted her head up from the mossy bedding, noticing she was called gave her a bit of a jitter. She softly shook the small remnants of moss that clung to her short pelt, and attempted to make herself look less pouty. When her emotions stabilized back to normal, she padded cooly, almost bored looking, out of the warriors den.
Sorestare stood up tiredly, and walked over to Redstar's den, his mind still deep in thought of the sudden death of Smokepelt. He took one last glance at the brave corpse and moved hastily over to his destination, soon being side by side with Hollowstripe.

Re: After the Vigil
Lightingpelt sighed sadly but she nodded, leaning against Goldpaw. "Let's go."
Usually armed with a razor sharp wit and a kind sense of humor, the yellow she-cat was greatly changed since the death of her brother.
There was a fine chance that she'd never be the same.
