Against the river

With debris engulfing each deep breath that came into Spidermist's mouth, he grew weaker, and weaker. By the time the river's reflecting looks came into sight, he was griping for fresh air, and retaliation to the aching pain in his pads. Without reaction, he began to walk the rest of the way over to the only fate of escape.
His dark fur was instantly soaked as he heave forward into the murky and freezing water. His eyes shut tight in distress as he was unable to feel his feet against the cobblestone floor. Keep.. Moving... Forward he mewed to himself as choked for air again.
By the time he reached the other side of the river, he had collapsed to the ground with tiredness and soreness, grief and adrenaline. Spidermist didn't believe this, a fight? Why? What did they do to Mudbloods for them to react like this so dramatically? As he took another choking breath, he remembered about that one cat that was helping Ezziesong... Oak was it? Did he really believe that he could rejoin them.. After his group was plotting this pandemonium all along?
He'd never forgive that orange bag of fur for practically killing his only best friend.

OOC: HOLY CRUD! What happened! When'd the fire happen?!? (I thought it already did.) That tom better not have the audacity to die;D Amunet still needs to meet the little fella.))

OOC: Nope, that won't happen of course. I guess this is set of the perspective of their clan leaving just after attacked.

IC: Swiftwind was in a similar despair, his lungs dying of the smoke. He noticed Spidermist."Spidermist!"He managed

Oak saw the struggling and said "Stay strong you have to get across!"

"Are we missing anybody?" asked Swiftwind," because, if we have cats missing, I don't want to be blamed for not asking!" Each breath made him weaker, and smoke clouded his glaze.He always thought himself fast and lively, but now he felt the total opposite; slow and dying.He sputtered a cough, and fell.I am not going to die today, he thought. He struggled to get up on his paws, but fatigue washed over him. The smoke was unbearable.It stained his pelt. It blocked his vision. It blocked his sense of smell. The river. So close, but so far.So far.

"I'm not sure" Spidermist replied, easing his way to stand up again. He had noticed that their clan was truly at a minimum. They were getting picked off one-by-one, literally. Already multiple warriors had died, including their leader... Then he stood breathless
" Where's Ezziesong?" he answered again in shock, immediatly turning his eyes over to the mudblood that had followed them across, "What in the name of Starclan did you do to our deputy?!" he added, intentionally putting the blame on the enemy, " I saw you and her 'negotiating' in the battle... What did you do?"

OOC: Someone's going to have to play her character...
And if someone does, she may need to have a late escape from the fire.

IC:Where was Ezziesong? Swiftwind could barely see Oak, Spidermist,Sunshift had ran away, and some other dark shapes. But he knew none of them were Ezziesong.Fireshade,Dayriser,Lokistar, and Clifftail were dead. Four warriors. Gone in a night."I have to go back for Ezziesong, Spidermist.You take the others to the river."Swiftwind was probably going to regret this, but the smoke choked him up to the point that words would've been nothing but a sputter of breath.His muscles aching and his eyes heavy, Swiftwind ran back into the smoke, away from the river, and away from all hope.

Spidermist nodded slowly " Yes, Swiftwind." He mewed, regaining a slower and steadier breath.
Even though he thought of Swiftwind's loyalty being very strong, it was a stroke of complete Suicide! And even though he had a great idea of what to do, he would regret it.
" Before you leave, I believe you should bring Oak with you, He should know if the raid is there or retreated by now," He added, not retrieving a concerned tone, nor annoyed.

With that, Spidermist began to cross over the river again to help out the ones that couldn't cross before.

[Gast]

"The last time I saw Ezziesong we were crossing the river." Oak said. "And Sunshift ran off after Stormclaw." Believe me I'm on your side." He said.

"Yeah, yeah.Save the sappy talk for...I don't know, maybe later?!"retorted Swiftwind. He hated deserters.Daystar and Oak. he hated them both.

Ezziesong emerged on the other side of the bank. They were lucky that this was no clans land, between Tawnyclan and the bloodstone.
She didn't know what to do. First was to pull through the full emotions; pain, sadness, anger and fear.
She sucked in a lungful of air and mewed as bravely and commandingly as possible, "lets retreat to_".
She gasped in astonishment as Skyblaze bounded out of the forest line. An unrecognisable cat upon his back...

Swiftwind made it through a cloud full of smoke out of the forest, air going into his lungs. He vomited, and panted,"We're going to go back on the way to camp, aren't we?" Not expecting an answer, he walked off the border. No Darkclan cats yowling at me to get off their territory now,eh? he thought bitterly."Hurry up,Oak.Ezzisong'll die of old age before we reach her. Where do you think she is,anyway?" he panted .He fell onto his flank, gasping for air.

[Longstorm]

Ezziesong swiveled her ears back and forth, listening for voices. Was that her Clanmates she heard?
"Hello," she called in a smoke-hoarse voice. The heaven thundered and rain began to fall heavily (if it wasn't already).

OOC: Updates for me - I'm new in TawnyClan.

OOC: well...welcome? XD

IC: Spidermist with ringing already in his ears, was unable to hear their deputy's cry for desperate help, and kept swaying along the lower climaxing bank. With the deep and ice coldness of the lapping waves made him grow more relevant in breath, but weaker in the movement of his legs, that were already limp the first time across.

[Longstorm]

Ezziesong turned in circles, the sound of the roaring river and the rain almost deafening her.
"Anybody!" She began to race along the edge of the swelling river, trying to find a scent.

OOC: What's been going on in Tawnyclan?

OOC: *one cat of no true importance was left in the camp burning, but escaped with her rogue mate. (Shimmerpelt & UF are inactive, so.. Yep)

Gasping a bit more for some air, Spidermist looked around the Tawnyclan side of the river for someone who would have trouble crossing over. With a desperate moment to clear his throat, he turned around, and counted from afar who they may have been missing.

Nightkit ran around, limping, he was in the forest when there had been a fire. Nightkit didn't know where his mom or dad was... "H-help" he gasped for air, smoke filling his lungs I'm gonna die he thought, a flurry of ashes clouding his vision. Nightkit heard yowling nearby, and his ears pricked, slowly, steadily, he followed the voices, finding some cats that he could barely see, he gathered all that he had left "H-hello, somebody, p-please help me."

[Longstorm]

Relieved to hear some sign of life, Ezziesong spun around at the sound of the kit's cries and raced towards them. When she had reached the kit she mewed, "Nightkit, is that you?" Suddenly, Ezziesong looked around to notice that some of her other clanmates were here!
"Spidermist! Swiftwind, Oak! Skyblaze!" She exhaled sharply, too overwhelmed with emotion to say anything of sentiment, to say just how glad she was to see her clanmates alive. "Where are the others," is what she finally said. "Thornpelt - Stormclaw - Sunshift - Leopardstorm - Solarstorm - Tigerflame - Greydawn? And what about Brackenkit?" The names just poured out of her mouth.

OOC: Brackenkit is yours, Daystar. You have a lot of cats you don't play. BTW, you need to claim the cats you play or they'll be deleted off of the Allegiances until they're adopted.
And I notice a lot of the cats Ezziesong listed are played by Loki. If she doesn't come on, I'll RP them... ish...

Nightkit looked up "H-hello?" his voiced cracked "Am I in Starclan?" he shuttered, growing weak of hunger and pain, noticing that his right paw had been hurt in the fire

[Longstorm]

Ezziesong sighed at the kit. "No, Nightkit, this isn't StarClan. It's just our river." She looked back to Spiermist, the question still evident in her eyes. "What about that Amnuet? Has anyone seen her?"

Thornpelt was lost in the smoke. He couldn't find his clan. "Hello!" he called even know his lungs hurt every time he talked.

OOC: Amunet will be coming in the morning I'd assume...

IC: Spidermist finally cocked his head to the side to notice their lost deputy had finally returned... Or that's what he thought, since she or even he was too far to tell.
Thank Starclan it is her! He heaved softly to himself after hearing the yowling orders. He chocked again, but slowly regained his breath and began to reply, " Ezziesong! The others must had separated like you did in the retreat!" he paused for a soft breath, " Is anyone else with you?!" he added, squinting his bloodshot eyes, the struggle to see another figure was practically unbearable!

[Longstorm]

Ezziesong looked down at Nightkit. "Yes, Nightkit is with me!" She could tell the warrior was in the same condition as she was and she called, "We need to get out of this smoke!" The striped deputy looked down at Nightkit and mewed, "Stay right here." She padded quickly towards Spidermist. "Come on," she coughed, "let's get away from this."

Spidermist nodded in content, " But, where to go?" he mewed softly, his head starting to grow light headed from the smoke.
