Heading Towards Moonclan
Cold of Abyssclan and Mosspaw of Tawnyclan, along with many other cats from Clans they knew, were padding along with a Clan they'd never met before.
Moonclan.
They'd come across them, by happy chance, at a strange Gathering-sort of meeting they were holding with two strange groups of cats called 'Tribes'. Now, after much talk and lack of trust, the Questers were being lead towards Moonclan camp to discuss in full the dream the Questers had shared, and what it might possibly mean for the long lost Clan...
Talltree, warrior of Moonclan, was padding alongside Sunclaw. "I'm just saying," he hissed to her quietly, "you heard what they said. We'd have to go back with them - our place is here."

Re: Heading Towards Moonclan
Icepaw was glad he'd been born with a thick coat. "It's like talking a leisurely stroll through the Frost Forests," he muttered almost good-humoredly. He'd know, of course - he joined Darkclan through the Rebellion in the Frost Forests.
Jace didn't know the Frost Forests, but it sounded as cold as this place was. "The sooner we reach this 'camp of theirs," and when he said camp he thought of a poorly construed place of dirt, ticks, and sticks, "the better - I'm ready to go back to the City."
"Just like a City cat," snapped Icepaw, "no sense of honor."
The City tom rolled his eyes, not rising to the taunt.
After the steep pathway they'd come up, they were now on smooth, almost 'paved' path of snow that looped gently through the frozen territory.

Re: Heading Towards Moonclan
"They must not get many enemies here," remarked Snowfeather, meaning the ice-path. "Back home this would be like a warm welcome to enemies."
Blackfire was padding with Stormstar, having somehow become the spokesperson for the group.
"...yes, we have Gatherings," he was saying. "And it was at a Gathering that Mudblood revealed themselves to us. Their numbers are great and all Clans - and now, even a 'Tribe's' ancestors, it would seem - are very concerned for their well being. The dream showed us your mountains and spoke of the lost moon - I know this must seem completely mouse-brained, but I believe you and your Clan must return with us."
Jazz was padding alongside Jace again, making sure his fur was fluffed up to the maximum to keep out as much cold as possible. "So," he mewed to a tom with a scar, "get many two-legs up here?"
Cloudscar looked at him, confused. "What's a two-leg?"
That was enough to make Jazz freeze mid-step. "Y-you don't know?"
The short warrior shook his head. "No - is it?"
The City Gatherer thought hard, wondering what would be the best way to describe it. "They're... tall. Very tall - they stand on their back legs and have very little fur - except for on their heads, they're completely furless. And they have long front legs that hang at their sides, and they use them for grabbing things. They ride inside the belly of monsters, some bigger than the tallest tree!"
Cloudscar laughed suddenly. "Really? Furless except for their heads? Sounds like you've taken a hailstorm to the head, other-cat."
Jazz shrugged. "Say what you like - I see them every day where I live. No cat likes them too much - but the ones who do? They live with them and become kittypets."
Cloudscar just rolled his eyes, laughing again.

Re: Heading Towards Moonclan
Stormstar looked at the black tom beside him. But there was no surprise nor anger in his eyes.
"Perhaps, Blackfire of Darkclan. Perhaps. But," he minded some fallen branches, "where would we stay? You say the territory we once inhabited is taken by another Clan - the one that is said to have driven us away in the first place. Since then, as my fathers before me have said, we have changed. Our coats our longer and our eyes are accustomed to the bitter cold. We can find the faintest of frozen scents in the ice and we will know whether is is fresh of not. We feast on insects in the center of our mountain, and we burrow in the snow to hunt. Tell me, Blackfire of Darkclan - where would we live?"
Sunclaw looked at Talltree. "I know this place is ours - but when has the Tribe of Endless Hunting shown true interest in us? Never. Not until now. You know the history - Endless Hunting has never been wrong... but," she sighed, "I don't know if I'd like to leave..." She looked up briskly. "Whatever Stormstar chooses will happen. 'The words of the Clan leader is law' - you know that, Talltree." The she-cat gave him a firm look.

Blackfire sighed, deep in thought. "There's..." He paused - was the Rebellion still living in the Frost Forests? "There is a place much like these lands. Tall sky-stones with clouds ringing them, a place where the snow and cold is as bitter as the ground we are walking upon right now... We call them the Frost Forests. No one lives there but the few bits of prey that are there."
Cloudscar glanced back in the crowd - "Who's that she-cat you're traveling with," he asked Jazz, gesturing to the she-cat with sticks and burrs in her fur.
Jazz looked back. "Oh, that's a loner we picked up in the Indigo - name's 'Sassypelt' - funny, though, she's not from a Clan or nothing."
Cloudscar looked back again, trying to see her eyes under the knotted fur.

Re: Heading Towards Moonclan
Sassypelt knew the Moonyclan cat was looking back at her but she didn't bother to meet his gaze. She was above such things - quite literally here, haha.
"So, Raypaw," she mewed quietly, "how do you feel about leaving your territory behind? Must be a great change, seeing as you were born here..."

Re: Heading Towards Moonclan
Raypaw paused for a brief moment then kept padding along. "Well..." She thought about all the fun she'd ever had with her sister in the old nursery and all the places they'd snuck off to. "Yeah..." Her tail and ears drooped, and she walked a bit slower. "I'll miss it," she mewed quietly.
Talltree ducked his head, looking away. "Still," he muttered, "I hate the idea of someone else living here..."
Mosspaw, still padding close to Raypaw, noticed her change in attitude - it was hard to miss the change, seeing as she'd been so peppy before.
"What's wrong," she mewed, concerned.
Raypaw looked up at her, eyes filled with sadness. "I'll miss my home if we leave," she whispered. She sped off to walk alongside Talltree, saddened.
"Oh," Mosspaw mewed, confused.

Re: Heading Towards Moonclan
Sassypelt looked sadly after Raypaw.
"It almost seems a crime to take them away from the place they know and love - this place seems perfect," she looked around. "No two-legs, no enemy Clans - they'll be eaten alive when they become a Clan of 'the forest'..."
Icepaw looked ahead and saw Snowfeather walking alone. He caught up to her and mewed, "Looks like you've been kicked out of a Clan," he gestured to Blackfire and Stormstar, humor in his tone.

Re: Heading Towards Moonclan
Mosspaw's ears flicked uncertainly. "I... maybe," she mewed. Her thought were running wild. But, it was the dream - it had to be done.
The she-cat was very quite for a long while after that.
Raypaw caught up to Talltree - he saw her expression. "What's wrong," he was instantly suspicious of all the other cats and what words they may say.
"I don't want to leave," she mewed sadly.
"Me neither," Talltree mewed. He pressed his pelt to hers for a moment, sharing her sadness.

Re: Heading Towards Moonclan
Stormstar looked at Blackfire again.
"Perhaps, perhaps - but this is best spoken over with my Clan." He looked ahead, expression grave. "If this is a serious as you say, then this decision must be discussed carefully, though quickly."
He fell silent, thinking of how his Clan may or may not react.
Sunclaw caught the last words that Talltree mewed. The thought was somewhat troubling, yes, but Stormstar's word... Stormstar's word is law - yes, yes, she thought, but is it always right?
She quickly shook away the traitorous thoughts, focusing on the path ahead of her.

Re: Heading Towards Moonclan
Snowfeather scoffed to Icepaw. "Yeah - didn't know the leader of Moonclan would hold the word of a tom's higher than a she-cat's!" She hissed irritably, tail lashing.
Blackfire nodded to Stormstar. "Yes," he agreed, "that sounds best..."

Icepaw rolled his shoulders, thinking. "Maybe it would be better if we were more like loners," he murmured. "More independent - it'd make it easier for things to get done..."

Re: Heading Towards Moonclan
Snowfeather gave him a side-longed look. "I remember those days," she mewed wistfully, flashes of an easier Clan life before her eyes. "Dewclan was more loner-like and we didn't have to worry so much... But now," her voice hardened, "it's all duty, duty, duty, tom's get everything..." She hissed again.
