Searingeyes sat up in his nest, knowing he was back in his underground den. He looked at the others and mewed,
"Well... we better go up." He seemed... deflated. Like everything that had occurred had been a huge strain on him, when it had been nearly nothing to the others.


Meanwhile...

Not too far from the camp, in the tunnels, Terra thought she could see light. They'd been traveling for a while, and she was feeling tired and thirsty - yes, they'd rested on the way up, but it'd been a long walk in darkness while the scent of damp earth mocked their thirst.
"Are we almost out," she mewed tiredly.

[Runfast]

OOC: Oh, good. It would have sucked if we RPed this in the crowning topic thingy thing thing THIUNG.

IC: Loveless squinted - he couldn't really tell for sure, but it looked like the moon was out. Is it that late?
Things got timeless in the dark.
"I think... Yes, I think we're close!"

The kittens trooped in a straight line, training slightly behind but trotting to catch up when they were becoming too far behind. They had lost interest in scrabbling between every bodies' feet a while ago.

Terra sighed in relief. "It'll be nice to rest," she mewed appreciatively.

[Guest]

In the Powerful's den, Despairingcall knew what was bothering his young-but-old friend, yet he said nothing. "The sooner we get back up, the better."
His ears swiveled at the sound of a robin's call from the surface. Robins don't sing at moonhigh - and I have only one robin in my ranks. Yes - sooner the better.
The charcoal tom rubbed his tail against Switchblade's flank as he padded to the exit, urgency speeding his gait.

[Loki]

Switchblade jumped up as his father's tail made contact with his flank and stood, waiting to move on.

[Runfast]

Soulvoider strode to the front and used a strong shoulder to open the woven door to the surface. He made his exit snappy, a single leap getting him back into the camp.

Meanwhile...

Loveless paused at the edge of the tunnel, sniffed, then awkwardly hopped up and out.
"Everything looks good," he mewed to the five. "We're real close to the camp." He sounded a little surprised - he'd no idea where the tunnel would lead, but a feeling was what lead him best.
The entrance to the tunnel was concealed by a clump of bushes that would be thick even in winter (some winter dwelling plant, he didn't care). Beyond the clump (surrounded by forest) was the leaf-floored clearing that surrounded the camp, Loveless recognizing the Powerful's conference stump.
Everything was silent, the silvery moon shining through the thick canopy of leaved trees.

[Longstorm]

Searingeyes followed the others out, his tail dragging in the sand.

Meanwhile...

Terra inhaled deeply, smelling other Abyssclan cats and the cool forest. "It's beautiful," she mewed as she followed Loveless out. She turned back to the four kits and mewed, "Do any of you need help getting out?" The exit was the height of the kits.

[NKninja]

Corrupt could have almost bursted into laughter at the kits, but stayed silent with a strait face, and turned to the moon, it's light just barely showing the territory around it. The last time she had seen the moon was when her parents 'died', she had finally come to the conclusion that her parents were killed by the monster that took them away.

[Loki]

Fresh sized up the jump hopped and scrabbled for a moment before failing.
Thistle rolled the shocked Fresh over and jumped on his back and hopped out
of the tunnel, Bark and Torn in his wake.
Fresh spat and waggled his tail preparing a massive jump.
He hopped and scrabbled on the ledge, his brothers turning to help him out.
The four now covered in mud, looked pompously at their mother.
Thistle mewed a sarcastic; "teamwork! Yeah!"

[Runfast]

Loveless smiled and turned to hide it, working on his straight face. "Right..." he pointed with his good leg. "The entrance is just this way." He began to slowly pad around the thick mass of trees and such, so thick you couldn't see into it.

[Longstorm]

Terra purred affectionately. "Come on - you'll all get a bath soon enough." Walking between the four of them, she followed Loveless to the entrance - a dark hole in the mass of branches.

"A bath!?" mewed Fresh sulkily.
The four followed her closely.
