IC: Redstar thought about what Ezziesong was saying and said, "I'm not hearing a question." He glanced about - where were the other two Clans? Perhaps Dewclan would not be attending by the way the deputy's expression changed when she mentioned the mixed Clan.

She looked almost sick as she said it, "We are in need of your medicine cat, just until Tigerflame recovers, we have no Medicine cat apprentice and I'll be gone before any kits come along."
She knew full well that Lokistar would refuse medical attention from another clan but Tigerflame was in an urgent state and his life could be ebbing at this very moment.

Redstar's eyes widened in shock - and his closed his mouth, not blurting 'Our medicine cat is gone, too!' like he was going to. Relaxing, he mewed,
"Dire condition, you say?" He sighed, about to tell her he was sorry - but then the faint scent of wheat and sunlight blew past on a wind that was too warm for the weather. He felt as though things may work out, still uncertain, but they may.
"We will do what we can - our medicine cat did not attend tonight, but I will speak with him." The cold winds picked up, the low-lands cats fluffing up against the cold. "We can't wait any longer," he changed the subject. "You may begin."

OOC: Mistlight is staying behind, after all... Or Frostshine could do something, or SOMETHING!!! I'll figure it out... Oooo, Mistlight isn't supposed to tell anyone about the quest, so maybe she could be back for a little bit, or take a vow of silence maybe and then take an apprentice? Bleh, maybe long enough to discover who the next med. cat of Tawnyclan is supposed to be and help w/ training until Starclan steps in...

Ezzesong felt her ears burn but nodded and padded forward. Gleaming eyes stared at her and waited as she paused. "Tawnyclan was attacked by two-legs with sharp flying sticks, Lokistar warns that the clans or wondering cats are in danger. A warrior has been injured but prey in plentiful..."
She stepped back.
Lokistar wanted her to tell them about the danger but she felt any more than that was revealing a weakness...

Redstar nodded politely and stepped up.
"Darkclan is faring well in the light rains we tend to receive in our mountains. Aside from that, we now have two new warriors - one of which is now our deputy. I'd like to welcome Flowerfoot, our newest warrior, and Hollowstripe, our new deputy."

Goldpaw stood on his hind legs and called, "Hollowstripe, Flowerfoot, Hollowstripe, Flowerfoot!"

OOC: Editing...

IC: Redstar nodded and finished, "Prey is running well -and we all wonder after Dewclan, Abyssclan, and Mudbloodclan." He looked around, seeing if anyone had anything to say.

Redstar looked at Ezziesong then mewed, "This ends the Gathering. May Starclan light your path, and be with you always."
Redstar was about to jump off of the stone when Goldpaw let out a shrill cry of terror. "Starclan is dead!," he yowled.
Redstar realized that the clearing was no longer bathed in silver, everything as red as the Bloodstones themselves. Slowly, he looked up to the skies - indeed, the moon was made of blood. Redstar was frozen in place, no words, just fear.

Ezziesong nodded but nearlly fell off the ledge at the cry. She looked up in terror, "What in the name of-"
"That must be why!?" Yowled Skyblaze stupidly,"Why Lokistar couldn't contact them!"
Ezziesong gave him a deathly look and he nearly bolted under her gaze.

IC: Rainfoot stared at the blood-red moon, eyes wide and jaw slack. He couldn't... move. There was nothing. Nothing.
Starclan - dead? All dead? His mother, his father, his friends, his family, his ancestors and dream-givers, forever protectors and base of all his faith - dead?
That was it. He began to yowl in anguish.

It was common belief amongst robins that the you will see the all-mother's red breast when you die.

IC: Smokepelt and Lightingpelt were pressed pelt-to-pelt, brother and sister, in pure terror. Smokepelt had never been properly frightened in his entire life, but now he knew fear. Starclan, his forever safety-net, gone?
Impossible - it couldn't be!
Lightningpelt wondered if the world would end here and now, if the heavens would burst into flames with Starclan itself - themself - and oh, they were GONE!

IC: Hollowstripe, with the other clans as well stared in horror of the moon. What about her mother? Her father? Any, and every part of hear could had been reeked in the stench of fear, But it would have not mattered now. All around her pelts were bristled and fear flooded through the clearing.

Flowerpaw shut her eyes tight, against the unnatural luminescence. She could almost feel the blood, or whatever it was, spreading across the world, she could hear the cats' frantic yowls, and realized her own had joined them. She ran blindly, crashing into someone. She opened her eyes; Hollowstripe. "What's happening to the moon?" she whispered.
OOC: Not a scratch on what I'm working on now. Smile

Pausing and quickly catching her breath, Hollowstripe stared in complete terror and awe at the sight. " Ma.... Maybe the sky is playing tricks on our eyes" She deeply mewed back, hoping that it wouldn't be like this forever

OOC: It'll be over soon - that was insanely fun.

IC: Even while all of the Starclan-following cats let out their cries all over the land, the lunar eclipse was near it's end. Slowing but surely, the eclipse began to fade away, silver taking over the blood.
Redstar took a deep breath when he saw the slightest sliver of silver, thinking his mind may be tricking him. A few minutes later the sliver seemed bigger.
"I-it's fading! Starclan is coming back! Starclan isn't dead!" Yep, the hysteria had gripped the leader as well.
Most likely, on a different note, this night may be known as the death and rebirth of Starclan, while others will call it a lunar eclipse, the Ritual, the Sign, or the Rise of the King if you knew the ways of Those Above.

OOC: It'll be completely over in about an hour.

Smokepelt had been leaning against a Lightningpelt with his eyes shut tight, but Lightningpelt dared to look up. Could it be? "It's like they're being reborn - I can see the stars..." It was true, the clouds were clearing a bit from the moon.
Thunder rumbled in the distance and was drawing near.

When the moon was half silver, Redstar found he could move again. "This Gathering is OVER."
Why me, Thornstar - why did I have to be leader for this particular Gathering? The tom jumped off of the Bloodstone, rallying Darkclan to him.
They would probably reach home by sunhigh.

As Redstar had begun to get feeling back, the first few drops began to fall from the sky.
As Darkclan left, thunder like the forest breaking shook the land - and then you couldn't see very far the rain was so thick.

The mountain would get the least, but Dewclan's marshy land would flood, Tawnyclan's river would break its banks, Coreclan and Searclan would have little protection from the wet with their leafless trees, and Abyssclan's hill would become riddled with mudslides (the mountains are exempt from that in part, as it's a rocky terrain).
All of this would occur within two days of the relentless storms.
