Back From the Gathering Empty Back From the Gathering

Post by Longstorm Fri Apr 08, 2011 6:54 pm

Searingeyes lead the large Gathering patrol into the camp, his thoughts awhirl with all that had occurred there. He glanced around, thinking of telling Shadowstar - but then he remembered where the black tom had said he'd be, so Searingeyes put it out of his mind for the time being. He looked up at the sky. In the far East, a faint light had begun to form. The time of truce was over.

Cunningheart and Tigerfrost were laughing together, whispering about Tawnyclan and Dewclan, about spies and battle moves, the leaders and their faulty ways. The two padded past Searingeyes and to the fresh-kill pile.

Back From the Gathering Empty Re: Back From the Gathering

Joy had woken from her doze and sat watching, amusement flickering acroos her face. Switchblade padded over to her.
"We saw your sister."
"Where?" Joy mewed.
"She's with Mudbloodclan, up to no good."
"I'm guessing you saw them at the gathering..."
"You'v got that right."
"I see."
"Dewclan were absent, perhaps Mudbloodclan had destroyed them..."
"Well, thats one less task for us," Joy didn't care for any of the other clans.
"hmm, But its whether they'v joined Mudbloodclan..."

Switchblade dtood and turned around, Joy stood to and stayed by him.
"Overhearing the crowd, I heard something about fast light strikes...
And that Oak character, The cats there were whispering of those bellow, they must worship them," Switchblade concluded aloud, "So it is possable that when this fast light strikes, this Oak character will be the main event.
Perhaps a horrible attack, but even kits know that Those bellow have no allies... or do they?"

Joyless mewed, "What ever it is, it can't be good, and them appearing at a gathering simbolizes the event is closer
then we should think."
Switchblade hesitated for a moment, then found himself agreeing.
"I believe your right."
Joyless nodded, "Perhaps more patrols are in order, the others and I could patrol the border more, they wouldn't attack such a big group."

She's pushing her luck, I hope bad does not come because of her tongue...
"I counted about thirty odd cats Joy..., they would attack a small group."
Joy nodded, "I guess your right, I'll be off to rest... Unless Woebringer has asked of me?"
Switchblade shook his head, "I havn't heard anything."
She bowed, low enough to call it a bow, then disapeared off into the servents den, Switchblade watched after her,
his eyes clouded with amusement.

Back From the Gathering Empty Re: Back From the Gathering

Cunningheart spoke up,
"Even if Falsecall has something to do with it all, he wouldn't be foolish enough to attack us. He knows the rains will be here soon and our hill will be one massive landslide for the better part of the season."

Searingeyes nodded and joined the conversation (a rare occasion in public).
"Those Below are allies with Those Above. Make no mistake, my fellow Abyssclannians, Those Below are the prison keepers, being no different than the prison we hold near our camp. Unlike the Dark Forest, which allows evil to sit and multiply, Those Below make sure that the evil they guard never sees the waking world again. If these cats worship Those Below then they're in for a sore surprise."

Tigerfrost looked at Searingeyes, shocked.
"I-I didn't know that!"

Searingeyes fixed the tom with his golden gaze.
"You never asked," he mewed dryly. "It's not as though it was a secret."

Cunningheart nodded in agreement, returning to her previous topic.
"I wonder if the size of that Gathering patrol of their's was nothing more than an elaborate bluff?"

Switchblade thought about that one.
"I think it wan over exagerated truth... We don't know how far Falsecall has went to get revenge, but he hasn't had long enough to gather so many. If it was a bluff, then there would be fewer cats. Why take so many to a gathering when he knows that we could all turn hostile, it would have been too great a loss, he'd have to have re doubled those numbers if it were true."

Tigerfrost nodded.
"Yeah, I think you could be right on that one... But if they came after us, would we be able to handle it?"

"I think it's more the entire territory's problem," mewed Cunningheart.

Tigerfrost looked at her and asked,
"Why do you say that?"

Searingeyes answered,
"Well, if their group is as big as they're implying, what makes you think that they'll stop with us? But, no matter. Our territory will soon be inaccessable anyways."

OOC: He still won't be able to get past it... MWHAHAH!

IC: Searingeyes mewed,
"Even if he has, he won't have a way around it." Or under it, Searingeyes thought grimly. The rains meant that the tunnels all around the bottom would be washed away, and new ones would have to be dug later in the season. Searingeyes shook the thought from his mind and mewed, "Come on, it's late. Get some sleep." That being said, he slipped away into his den.

Cunningheart nodded and mewed to the toms,
"He's right. 'Night, boys." She padded off to her den, and Tigerfrost went to the Warrior's den.
