"ouch," Rook muttered as he got up and brushed the dirt off his feathers. A strong gust of wind had caught him when he was flying and swept him here.

Despairingcall, who was on his daily walk, scented the rook and padded over to it.
"Hey," he mewed. He was a little testy these days, so pleasantries weren't on his mind at the moment. "Land on the wrong side of the forest?"

OOC: Rook is a black falcon, not an actual rook. (If u wanna know what he looks like just picture my profile pic WITHOUT the three-feather crown)
IC: Rook looked up, and screamed when he saw the huge creature standing over him. "AAAAAAHH!!!!" (haha)

OOC: oh yes, Garnetheart Despairingcall (the cat who just spoke to you) can speak to other animals such as birds...

IC: Not long after and crowing of a raven was heard over head. "Master, Master, One has news for you, he does! he does!"
It was Carr. The large bird landed bellow Despairingcall his head bowed and eyes watchful as his beak crowed, "One sees a
friend lead a She-cat, one does, One saw this she-cat follow friend, one hears speak of kits, one does, he really does!" The bird
Squawked. He turned onto the other bird then gripping talons in one cold sway, "Master has no time for scum like you, no no he doesn't fly away while one has chance!" He hissed through preyed breathe, Other birds were a liability.

Rook leapt forward. "Say that to my beak, chick!" He squawked. He was bigger than this raven, he could take him on. Back where he'd come from they'd taught him how to deal with snakes and wolves, never mind crows. (or whatever Carr is)

OOC: Ravens and black falcons are avrigly the same size, perhaps a falcon is a lil' bigger.

IC: Carr's feathers flickered in the wind his menacing eyes glinted and suddenly any other birds went silent. Many were frightened by Carr, not because he was particulerly dangerous, but that was the way he was. His talons gripped the dirst beneath him and he nearly pecked a
hole in the throat of this bird. "Foolish twoleg prop, you are, yes, yes, he is. He's a foolish twoleg prop, master kill him, one should."
Carr waited his master was normally chatier then this... (lol)

Rook didn't wait for an answer, he took flight, and hooked his talons into Carr's feathers and dragged him up a tree.

Carr being as afflectic as a raven could possibly be, began to swing around in all directions. He caught onto Rook's talons and both fell to the floor in rotten weight. "One is a nonsense talker!" Spat carr, His talons reflexing and tightening.

In the sky overhead, a white dove could be seen. "Hm, are there any bugs around here? Or perhaps berries for dessert?" she wondered aloud. Khione looked down, scanning the green area below her. Khione flew down to get a better view of the forest, in order to find out prey. The dove spotted a cat, had she seen him before? Nonsense. Khione had never seen a cat in her entire life, only heard about them from gossip. Nearby she could see two birds squawking and fighting. She flew a bit lower, making her almost touch the tip of the trees. Now, she could clearly see that a black falcon dragging a raven. Strange, aren't black falcons supposed to be rare? She thought. Well, look at yourself, you aren't exactly common in your species, both in personality and looks.

OOC: Oops, i was writing this message when u posted, heh. BTW I did some research, there is an actual species of black falcon in AUSTRALIA. Let's say this is an imaginary species.
IC: Rook flapped his wings, screeching furiously. He unhooked the bird from his body and flew down to push his talons deep into Carr's body. "You coal-winged chick!" he squawked, remembering an insult he'd used before on his brother (and made him lose his meal privileges).
And then he saw the pigeon (or dove), flitting above the scene.

OOC: lol its okay. BTW maybe Rook was an escaped bird from a zzoo, bird center or a private foreign bird owner... its possibly he is still and escapee

Carr sneered and landed daintly on the ground his wings were open as wide as they would possibly go and he narrowed his eyes to the black falcon. And yawned, Twoleg pet. He hissed.
And hopped out the way to allow the falcon to fall. He stayed on the ground, plotting and thinking.
At that moment Joyless of Abbysclan had moved out. In her jaws was a dead finch...

OOC: wrong, he was the 'protector' of a black falcon flock, but he got chased out for a reason i will tell u next time.
IC: Rook realized the raven's plan too late, and started falling. Luckily he was close to the ground, and landed in a small patch of leaves. He crawled out, hopping on one talon. He'd twisted on of them in the fall.

Khione saw another cat coming. In her jaws was an animal, but she didn't know what. The white plumed bird shifted her ebony gaze to the other birds. The falcon had fallen into some leaves, apparently beaten. However, Khione saw something special in this bird, but she had no idea what. The white dove dived into the woods and landed on a branch which was hanging over the two quarreling males. "Your fighting is quite immature." she said, amusement showing in her voice. "What, exactly are you fighting for?"

OOC: GH, could Khione have a crush on Rook? Or maybe an actual relationship? The latter is in the future. I mean, Khione would be a senior teen, I think.

OOC: Despairingcall understands and speaks all languages, people. And just so we know, he's a big, tough cat.

IC: Despairingcall watched the arguing in amusement and mewed,
"Are you all going to keep arguing?"

Joyless didn't flinch when she saw the birds sprawl. She flinched when she saw the powerful. She bowed her ice eyes were bright. for a while the faded. Now they were a dangerous icy blue. They made her look intelligent and deadly in her own way. She watched the birds and noted Despairingcall's eyes. Amusement flickering her own.
She brushed her tail to the side and watched the brawl. The raven catching her attention with his menacing hiss. The fight was interesting...but Despairingcall could understand their words, I wonder what insults they would throw...? She thought the very thing distracting her, from reality.

Carr jumped to his masters word and bowed his head respectfully. "Sorry master, this one is really sorry..."

"Excuse me, Mr. Crow, but have you ever learned to speak properly?" Khione said, obviously trying mock him. She turned her gaze to the tough ca in front of her. "Oh, sorry. I, uh, just saw these birds fighting, and I-I thought I should stop them." she started. Khione shifted her wings and her beak twitched. "Oh, and have I met you before?" the memory of this tom was buried deep in her subconscious, and Khione was trying desperately to digit out. The dove also spotted the she-cat, and could now clearly see a finch in her mouth. Poor little thing. She thought sadly.

"Rat with wings!" Spat Carr who flapped his wings at her angrily. Of course, with other birds he could not speak well. He was silent when he came in the nest. Only did he began to speak when he felt like it, being taken in by Titoes who tout him to attack Two-legs and kill chicks and... Al lot of things. A few other birds flew over head. Carr being a carnivore took wing and caught one. His talons crushing and suffocating its useless body. He screached angrily and dropped it. He landed and pecked at it with slow enthusiasm. "This one, prefers tasty warm prey." He scoffed between bites.

Joyless blinked at the way this one raven acted, obviously a threat to the other birds. She backed away and left. perhaps back to camp. These days she made no comment,

OOC: What the **** is titoes? Oh, and doves cant mate with black falcons.
IC: Rook got up, limping. "Who are you, bleach-feather?" he asked, using another of his insults, but this one for snowy owls. He was directing the question to this... albino pigeon?... but he was glaring at the raven who had actually beaten him. Beaten HIM, the protector of his flock for over 8 seasons!

"The name's Khione!" Khione snapped. She struggled to think of a good and strong insult, but nothing came up. The trees swayed gently in the wind, and leaves danced. The white dove saw that the she-cat had left. Then, her attention drifted to the raven, the bird that couldn't even speak bird. How strange, she thought. A bird that can't even speak his own language fluently.

Carr eyed up the two birds the meat of the fledgling was rich and plump. He shook his head and prickled his feathers and stood his head judging the two birds as if they were fledglings as well. If one of them died.. He would eat their body, it was what his kind did. After all he had eaten his own mate in the winter. She had been by his side since they met as ravens do and when she died of starvation he only took what was left of her. He had waited a while to allow her shiny eyes to fade but...
He cocked his own head looking fondly at the dove.
Carr was not old nor' was he young. He had a bad reputation with killing chicks, when birds questioned him, he did many things... Sometimes he would kill them and sometimes he would mock them.
He simply didn't care. "Why do you stay?" He finally cawed ," Your unwanted here..."

OOC: Who r u talking to?
IC: "Why do i stay? I never wanted to BE here! I got swept by a wind!" Rook screeched. "And since i've got nothing to do, im looking for an animal to take my services." He turned to the strange bird-speaking creature, the cat. "My feathers are black as night, so i can sneak through night without anyone seeing. My wings are soft and noiseless. I can serve well as a spy. Will you hire my services?"
OOC: U HAV to say yes. Or the plot cant continue.

OOC: Why is Carr looking fondly at Khione?

IC: Khione ignored the raven, and looked at the falcon. "So what's your name?" she said in a calm voice. When she heard about why he was here, Khione had a thousand questions flying around her head like a storm. Spy? Spy on whom? Spy for what reasons? And how was this cat able to speak Bird? More questions floated around in the vast space that was her mind.

She is a shy little thing. Please be more considerate and WAIT for her to post, unless you never intended Despairingcall to be a part of this subplot. Because this looks like something for the birds only, and not the Powerful.
