Bringing Back His Own Teeth

[Longstorm]

Tiger, 9-month-old Choosing of Abyssclan, threw his kill onto the hardened snow with pride. It was a she-cat of Dewclan, or some other clan. With him was her two kits - two toms. Apparently their names were Tigerkit and Bramblekit, but that didn't really matter right now, did it?
Tiger looked down at his kill with a smile, happiness and something else burning through his veins like a fire. But at the same time, his heart felt... cold? He shook himself, focusing on the camp around him. Where was everyone?

Woebringer, grooming his calico fur, looked up to see the young Choosing.
"..." He raised a cat eyebrow and padded out to meet Tiger. "Well, well, young Tiger," he mewed, impressed. "Looks like we've another body for the storage, and you've a fine supply of teeth for your collar."

From the shadows emerged Shadesun and Fire. Fire, seeing the dead she-cat scampered up the body, his eyes wide.
"Wow," he breathed.
A pale tabby named Colorless looked out from the Servant's den, cowering when she saw the dead she-cat.

Woebringer spotted the two tom-kits and mewed,
"Who are these? Her kits?" He looked at their dark pelts and green eyes. "This could be interesting," he murmured to himself.

SInface padded into the clearing, having just come back from hunting and patrolling. He dropped two squirrels into the food storage and went to Tiger.
"Impressive," he mewed. "This means your ceremony will be bumped up - you'll become a Warrior with Switch now."

Loveless limped out of the Mender's den, his feet dragging somewhat but he seemed a lot better.
He nodded slightly to his brother and went to cleaning out Cunningheart and Tiger's den.

[Runfast]

SInface padded into the clearing, having just come back from hunting and patrolling. He dropped two squirrels into the food storage and went to Tiger.
"Impressive," he mewed. "This means your ceremony will be bumped up - you'll become a Warrior with Switch now."

Loveless limped out of the Mender's den, his feet dragging somewhat but he seemed a lot better.
He nodded slightly to his brother and went to cleaning out Cunningheart and Tiger's den.

Shadowstar slowly padded out of his den, his pelt gleaming in the sun. He looked healthier than he had in moons, and he was glad of it. He saw what Woebringer was looking at and rumbled,
"Ah, Tiger. Brought home your own teeth, have you?"

OOC: Hey - could we make a timeline? You know, to show when the big/important stuff happened in the right order? Sometimes I get confused...

Tigekit meowed for his mother.

Woebringer dipped his head to Shadowstar, mewing,
"Switch and Tiger's ceremonies will be held soon, yes?"

From the warriors den came Crashinflight. He flexed his large claws and Muscles and yawned lazily.
Defenseless on sight of him padded over and bowed, low. He regarded the small she-cat and padded
to the choosing and his kill. He studied it and nodded muttering as he usually did.
"Its soaking wet... You have to have been strong to have carried it so far."
He looked pleased, which again was only seen when he was talking to the younger generation.
Then he turned his head away, looking else where.

Defenseless came over as he rested his deep amber eyes on her.
"Go get me something to eat, I want fresh moss as well!" The servant nodded.
He was about to turn before he looked up at the sky.
"A blizzard is on its way."

OOC: Hold on - Defenseless is Sinface's... though it might make more sense if SF has Eyeless instead... Runny, what say you?
Btw, there can be two Protectors...

IC: Shadowstar nodded curtly to his Protector - he was still at odds with him.
"We'll have it tomorrow night, when the moon has begun to fade." He looked down at the two kits, a strange half-grin forming on his face. "Woebringer," he murmured, "after I've had my meal, bring these kits to my den." He looked at Tiger and mewed, "When you have taken this she-rat's teeth, put her body with the other two she-rats in storage." He glared at the two then padded past them, headed to the Nursery to see the remaining kits. The only ones left were a pair of toms (Scream and Cold) - Bloodclaw had taken the weakest tom to be his Choosing in the ways of medicine. A needed Choosing, thought Shadowstar. If Bloodclaw were to have an... accident, we'd need a new Mender, wouldn't we? He smiled eerily at the thought as he made his way across the clearing. Bloodclaw had also chosen Boneless as his Servant, a she-rat to carry herbs for him.
Sinface had decided that he didn't want Defenseless for a Servant - too small, he'd said. In turn, Shadowstar gave him Eyeless. Fitting for the only blue-eyes warrior beside himself.
In the end Shadowstar gave Dauntless to Snarlgag, and he knew who he would give Colorless to.

Shadowstar smiled once again. It would be an interesting occasion, the night to come.

OOC: Other cats, feel free to have a short chat w/ Shadowstar, your lord and master.

[Longstorm]

Tiger bowed low to Shadowstar, a malicious smile forming as he looked down.
"Yes, Shadowstar." He looked to the dead she-rat, then carried her off to his - soon to be only Cunningheart's - den. The tom felt a twinge of sadness to that thought. He would miss lying next to the powerful she-cat in the night, listening to her tales of glory and bloodshed. Tiger set down the she-rat and sighed. Oh, Cunningheart - his heart ached even though they had yet to be separated!

OOC: Fuddy-duddy dovey lovey! AWWWW....

Hopeless scuttled across the clearing, dealing with Shadowstar's den and his meal.

OOC: I never knew Defenseless had changed... LOL hehe

Crashingflight thought about joining his leader, of whom he had served for a hefty five winters without question. So He joined in to have a look at the two remaining kits.

[Longstorm]

OOC: The final two kits have been planned for - in fact, they were planned for the moment they were taken. Of course, there will be more kit later on.

IC: Bitter, Bloodclaw's Choosing, poked his head out of the Mender's Den. Everything looked different from the view there, cleaner, fresher somehow. He inhaled, and it was now that he noticed a sharper tinge to the air.
"Bloodclaw," he mewed into the den. "What's that smell?"

[Meany]

Bloodclaw padded up to him and scented the air.
"Smells like there'll be a snow storm. Looks like the Servants will have to dig out the dens... Again." He spotted Shadowstar then smacked Bitter with his tail. "Bow, bow!" Bloodclaw fell into his bow with ease.

Shadowstar nodded curtly to Bloodclaw and walked pass him into the den.

Bloodclaw sighed softly then followed Shadowstar, gesturing for Bitter to follow.


Snarlgag, the more refined tom of the three Dark Toms padded into the clearing. Spotting Woebringer, he padded up to him and mewed gruffly,
"What's happened?"

Woebringer nodded to Shadowstar and looked down at the two kits.
"Interesting," he mewed to himself. He padded off, wondering where his Servant had gone to.

[Guest]

tigerkit meowed again.

[Loki]

Crashingflight had joined Shadowstar and Woebringer by the nursery. The small, to him, creatures looked up at them and he smiled.
He turned and looked at the small tabby kit near Tiger. "Would you like the new kits in the nursery, Shadowstar?
He mewed gruffly.

Tiger, after taking out all of the teeth, was carrying the she-rat to the storage.
"He already told Woebringer," he muttered. Tiger dropped she-rat into the storage and closed it, shaking, ridding his pelt of small flurries that had begun to fall quickly from the sky.

[Loki]

Crashing flight ears flicked," Thanks youngling, seems my ears are not what they used to be..."
He stretched and looked up to the sky, "looks like the servants will be getting some exercise."

[Longstorm]

Tiger sighed. HE found that he didn't care for snow all too much. If anything, he wished Those Above could do away with it, or something clever like that. He watched Shadowstar enter the Nursery, then went back to his own den, thinking.

rashingflight sighed and looked to the warriors den wandering where Trueskin was.

[Meany]

Shadowstar, looking in the Nursery, looked down at the last two toms. One was the palest gray he had ever seen with paler gray eyes. The other was a rich, solid brown with burning amber eyes. The tom looked at Shadowstar and let out an unnatural shriek, one Shadowstar flattened his ears to.
"Quite the pair of lungs he has," he mewed to the nearby Bloodclaw. Bloodclaw nodded and mewed (when the kit had stopped),
"The Warriors named that one Scream. They found it... fitting."
Shadowstar smirked then turned his attention to the other tom.
"And him?"
"Cold. He's been silent ever since we took away his she-littermate." The pale tom looked at Shadowstar then looked away, keeping quiet.
"I think... I'll take a Choosing for myself." Bloodclaw looked at Shadowstar in shock. It had been some time since Shadowstar had trained a Choosing, so him taking a new one was surprising.
"Y-yes Shadowstar!" he managed. "Which tom shall you train?" Shadowstar looked at the solid brown tom.
"Him."

Scream, being 2 1/2 moons old, knew that this cat was respected by the others. This wouldn't do, he figured. He was his own cat, and he wouldn't listen. He let out another unholy wail but the black tom just smirked and picked him up by the scruff, carrying him out into the cold.
"You'll sleep in my den," he mewed through the fur in his mouth. This was tradition, unless you were an ordinary warrior - if you had your very own den, your Choosing would share it with you.

[Longstorm]

Hopeless shuffled out of Shadowstar's den, it now having a clean bed and good food inside. She bowed to Shadowstar as he passed her.
