CLOSED The Secret Council

[Longstorm]

Raven, a tortoishell and white she-cat (one of her patches resembled a raven), looked around the darkened Thunderpaths, worry in her eyes.
She had the utmost respect for very few cats - one of which many were gathering here to conspire against.
No - not to conspire. Merely to... discuss current events. The she's patterned tail flicked irritably as a few drops of rain hit her on the nose.

Flight, a black and white tom with deep blue eyes, slid out of the shadows. "Raven?" He was surprised to see the harsh-spoken she-cat present. "I didn't think..." He padded closer as he spoke.
Raven's ears flattened. "I suppose that's why none of your 'ideas' are considered - you don't think."
Flight paused, opening his mouth to object - but he instead murmured, "Yes, perhaps."
The she-cat rolled her eyes and brought her ears back up, listening for unwanted company.

[Meany]

Loop, a tuxedo tom with a slightly crushed eye, padded up to Raven. If he was surprised by the cats present, he wasn't showing it.
"So. We've all arrived. Neither Suki nor Ember will be joining us for obscure reasons that will be revealed. Commons will not be joining us, either, for more obvious reasons." He sat before the two other Council members. "Speak."

[Longstorm]

"We need a better leader," Flight suddenly burst out. "Someone who - someone who thinks about us!"
Raven looked at him cooly. "You mean, someone who thinks about Abyssclan."
The black and white tom gave her a look, but she was right.
"I agree." Flight was shocked to hear that. "We need someone who shares the same ideals as the Council. We're a unit, meant to work together to maintain this Clan and the purity of the bloodlines," she knew Loop did that often.

[Meany]

Loop nodded. "Somebody with our ideals, yes... Or someone who can be taught to share them." He looked both of them in the eyes. "Brother, sister, I have a proposition - a proposition that could very well mark our own exile if it were ever to be heard by one who does not share our sentiments. I propose we venture to the loner lands and find a cat who remains untouched by the influences of all the Clans, forester and rogue alike. Under our tutelage, this cat could become the greatest Chancellor Cityclan has ever seen."

[Longstorm]

"You're suggesting we find a cat we can control - a cat we can condition to usurp Satin?"
Raven fixed Flight with a glare. "If becoming an usurper wasn't on your agenda, then why have you come here tonight?"
Flight looked surprised. "I... want what's best for my Clan..."
The she-cat nodded. "As do I." She looked at Loop. "I will participate."
Flight looked unsure then asked, "Wait - why didn't Suki or Ember come tonight?"

[Meany]

Loop grimaced. "Ah, yes. The named she-cats are rather... content with the idea that, if Commons should return, she will lead the Clan."

[Longstorm]

Flight's eyes popped as he began to laugh, "That conformist of cat? I would as soon as feed myself to a two-leg monster than follow her!"
Raven rounded on him. "Then will you commit to this?"
The tom paused. "...yes." He looked at Loop. "You can count me in, Loop... what do we do first?"

[Meany]

Loop nodded, looking satisfied. "First? We look for the cat, of course." He looked to the rising sun. "Head towards the rising sun - that's always a good place to start." He stood. "Next Council meeting isn't for another two suns - the both of you won't be missed." He began to pad away.

[Longstorm]

Flight stopped. "Wait - go now?"

[Meany]

Loop looked over his shoulder. "Yes. No time like the present, as my mother used to say. Best wishes." He rounded a corner and was gone, the unfamiliar sound of his voice fading to nothing.

[Longstorm]

Flight sighed. "Well, Raven," he mewed, "guess we better get-" He looked at the she-cat - but she was already halfway down the alley.
"Get a move-on," she snapped, and he scrambled to catch up to her.
