[Longstorm]

Paleclaw sat on the floor of Scourge's den, placing his thin tale over his paws respectfully.

[Runfast]

Scourge joined him, sitting in almost the same position only his tail was behind him. "Since we're kin," he mewed, "you out to have some position."

[Longstorm]

Paleclaw's ears pricked up. "Position?"

[Runfast]

Scourge nodded. "Yes... perhaps - Lord of CityClan?" He nodded to himself. "Like an ambassador."

[Longstorm]

Paleclaw cocked his head. "Ambassador - why would we need an ambassador?"

[Runfast]

"A point Cunningheart brought up to me, Paleclaw. We're low on Warriors." He stood to pace the den. "If Mudblood - if Falsecall intends to attack, and I feel that will be soon, we will need more Warriors than we currently have."

[Longstorm]

Paleclaw nodded slowly. "So we'll get recruits from the Sister-Clan... clever..." He looked up. "But the floods are beginning - how would we reach them? When will we reach them?"

[Runfast]

Scourge flicked his tail. "The Powerfuls have their ways. As for the 'when', I think when the full moon has begun to set..." He looked at his cousin. "The Clans will be out at their little Gathering. We can take a bite of prey - from the Clans - and bring it to the City. A sign of good faith, as usual. Satin is... bendable. Weak. We'll have the Warriors we need for a simple bite of prey."

[Longstorm]

"...And you need a silvertongue to smooth the way." Paleclaw was understanding his role here.

[Runfast]

Scourge smirked and nodded. "Yes. I know how you get your way, cousin. Just be yourself." He turned away to loom at the cloudy skies outside. "The full moon is mere suns away. As will be Falsecall's attack, if my feeling is correct. We must move quickly, train the Servants, train the newcomers, fill the food stores and reinforce the prisons..." He looked just over his shoulder. "Perhaps even move the camp."

[Longstorm]

I must have misheard him.
"Move the camp? Move the camp? King - where? Why would we-" he stopped. "Falsecall knows the way."

[Runfast]

Scourge nodded gravely. "If they make it past the floods, the falling branches and mudslides, Falsecall will be able to lead the full strength of his forces to the very heart of AbyssClan territory." He turned back to his cousin, a fire in his icy blue eyes. "I will not let let that happen."

[Longstorm]

Paleclaw nodded. "Where will the camp go?"

[Runfast]

Scourge's ears twitched as he mewed, "The top of the hill. The rocks there will make an ideal camp, as they once did so many seasons past. I feel," he scuffed his paw, "it is time for AbyssClan to get closer to her roots. Overcome the enemy, as she always did, take reserves from her Sister." The black tom nodded. "Yes. We will overcome this... disease."

[Longstorm]

Paleclaw dipped his head. "When will we do this - what will happen to this camp?"

[Runfast]

Scourge looked outside again, the fur on his shoulders still bristling from what he'd said earlier. "This? This will all be a prison. Ideal, if you ask me. Look at it. Just... look at it." He began to point with his tail. "The Servant's den a prison. The Nursery a guest room. The Protector's den the Warden's Den. The Warrior's den another prison. This den the guard's den... The Storage a burial site. It all makes perfect sense."
The blue-eyed tom nodded. "Yes... We'll move as soon as possible. Send messangers to the border patrol, have as many cats possible carry the healing supplies..."

[Longstorm]

"Should I tell everyone?" The pale tom was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the whole conversation. The new King kept surprising him at every turn.

[Runfast]

Scourge nodded. "Go - Lord of CityClan." He flicked his tail, dismissing the Lord.

[Longstorm]

Paleclaw dipped his head low and left, head whirling.

[Runfast]

Scourge turned to the blue stone embedded in the wall. "And you'll stay here," he addressed the stone. "Watching our enemies. Like it should be."
