Moss for the newcomers Empty Moss for the newcomers

Post by Guest Fri Jan 06, 2012 4:05 am

Feathertail trotted after the trio to what must have been the backside of the Elder's Den. A slight gimp in her gait due to her tender paw. She sniffed at the moss behind the massive hollowed log and saw that many patches had been torn off and that moss was regrowing in the bare patches, many on different stages of growth. She looked at the others for guidance, for the only bed she had ever had had been her two-leg place, where she was allowed to sleep wherever she saw fit.

Spirepaw regretted the thought of helping by now. At least all the moss she and Nightpaw had gathered was clinging onto her pelt. But as she plucked the green stuff off one by one, Crow was explaining to them how Coreclan made their bedding.
" Now, My clan has a different way in creating beds then your Roseclan. We start by digging holes in the ground that fit our bodies structure," He started by making his own bed. Digging a large hole that looked like it could fit a fox. " Now you," he ordered to Spirepaw.
With stress building up, she uncomfortably padded over to the large calico tom.
Without caution, he ripped the remaining moss strait off of her pelt, and dropped it into the small pit. " Simple" he eased, turning back to Nightpaw and Feathertail, " Do you understand?"

OOC: I transfered my topic over to this one.

Feathertail nodded her head enthusiastically and stepped forward top inspect Crow's work."For being a hole in the ground, this looks very comfortable!" Her feather-like tail swished back and forth in the air with curiosity. "But uhm.... hehe.. I do not know where I am to sleep." She looked at the trio for help. Obvious embarrassment folding her ears back.

Crow raised his head. It was obvious to him that it was a newcomer question. " That is a question that you must speak to with your own leader," he mewed simply, turning to the exit of their small side den. " It looks like you'd sleep in one of these logs instead of behind it."

Nightpaw dragged the moss for the bedding. By now, her little legs have become tired and her head drooped. She stretched for a moment, to get rid of the cramps.

" Let me get that for you" Spirepaw offered, taking a bit of the moss.
Crow was digging another hole in the ground. This one was specialized for a smaller, and bit more petite cat. During their journey, he had met a she-cat by the name of Shrine. Her curiosity brought the best in her as she followed his clan. Only a moonrise ago, she asked to join his clan, offering that she had the skill to catch her own prey and other orders. Even though he didn't like the looks of her, he still let her join. Now here he was, making a bedding for a cat that shouldn't have been here. But his choice was made, and Shrineleaf was lucky enough to have him to help her.

Nightpaw looked gratefully at Spirepaw, then collapsed on the ground. After a few moments of rest, she forced her aching limbs back to work.

The she-cat noticed the apprentice's discomfort and padded forward and mewed, "Here dearie let me get that. Just show me where to put it." She grabbed hold of the moss and added her pile into the mass as well. Easily holding it in her larger mouth.

Crow nodded cooly, as well bringing the large clumps of moss over to the hole that he had just finished. " Yes, that's just about it," he mewed softly, turning to the two small apprentices.

OOC: HUH?

IC: Nightpaw glanced wearily at the finished pile with a spark of pride. At least she had done something useful to the Clan!
