A new cat in the clan

The Dewclan camp was quiet when Daystar brought Fern through the territory."Until the clanmates know of your prescense, you must sleep in the bottom of my den.It is warmer than the top, where I sleep.You may sleep in the Warrior's den when I announce it to the clan tommorow.Understood?"


OOC:The leader's den is a large tree that was cut open.There is a hole through the entire tree.

Fern smiled. "Thank you. I never got your name though...."

"Daystar," he mewed,"My name is Daystar.Welcome to Dewclan."

"Thank you, Daystar." Fern purred. "It's an honor to be here."

Daystar only nodded.He did not do flattery.He went to the top of the den, and a gust of wind buffeted against his face.He sighed, and curled up into a paw, and went to sleep.

Fern smiled, and curled up against the side of the den.

The next morning, Daystar woke himself up purposely early.He recalled the night before's events, silently walked out of the leader's den.He was starving, so he took a fat shrew from the fresh-kill pile.While he was eating in the early dawn, his eye throbbed.It was still sealed shut from when Hawkfeather had cut him. How did loners get warrior names? he wondered, that's unusual, because we always thought only clan cats have warrior names. He walked into the medicine cat den.Jayleaf was making a brace so he could place Gentlekit's leg back.But those legs were so small, and around the kit's mewls of pain and hunger, Jayleaf was clearly frustrated for failing.When he saw him his eyes lit up.
" What do you need?" then he saw Daystar's eye," How'd that happen? It's really bad. It'll take a few days to for the swelling to stop, and then that's when I could really help you. Right now I have to work on Gentlkit's wing." Daystar only nodded, and left the den. Daystar then made his way to Tall Rock, and silently waited for the cats to wake up so he could announce Fern's coming.

Fern tiredly woke up in the den, the camp quiet. Padding out, she saw Daystar on the rock, and looked around the camp.

Daystar noticed Fern had woken up and nodded in greeting.

Fern smiled, and looked around for the other cats, just as Frostsong padded out of the warrior's den.
