CLOSED Sunclaw and the Others Empty CLOSED Sunclaw and the Others

Post by Guest Sat Oct 27, 2012 1:04 am

Sunclaw, a yellow she-cat and deputy of MoonClan, was walking.
She had been walking around this strange place, this TOWN, for days. She thought that maybe they (being some newcomer freak who spoke of some eerie things and two of her Clanmates) would find others of their Clan if they just walked long enough, but to no avail.
It was dull and irritating and downright intimidating. The 'town,' that is.
But Sunclaw didn't give any of this away. She just kept walking, kept avoiding 'hoomens,' and made sure those under her command stayed safe.
As they as they could be in the hoomen town, anyways.

Raineyes, a warrior of MoonClan, had been worrying so much over the past few days that he had worried himself sick (a thought accentuated by a forceful sneeze) and had worried himself numb. Yep. Raineyes had felt as though he'd been walking on hard air for a long time. Nothing was right without his mate at his side.

Sunclaw knew that Raineyes was concerned, but she made no mention. They kept walking.

OOC: Switch, I love you. Give me a huuuuuuuggg. What a Face What a Face What a Face

IC: Sassypelt (OOC: I literally sat here wondering what the cat's name was. It's been a loooong while.) was walking nose-to-flank of Raineyes.
She didn't know these cats, and she didn't like them, and she could probably find the others faster by herself - but she was here for a reason. A reason far more holy than any code or duty or law could define. A reason far greater than herself, or logic. The reason WAS the logic.
That logic was to do her Goddess's will. The logic was the will, and the will was the logic.

OOC: I'm having too much fun.

Sassy didn't mind the cold. Not a bit. She was kept warm by her unkempt coat and her purpose.
She looked sideways at Raineyes - she knew he was upset (OOC: since he was panicking last time we saw him.).
"We'll find her," she purred reassuringly. "This place doesn't go on forever. She's here, and she must be worried about you too."

OOC: *HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUG*

Raineyes looked at the she-cat with his sad eyes. "I hope so..." He focused his dark eyes ahead of him, thinking of his mate and their two beautiful kits and their life as a family that had really only just begun...

Sassypelt nodded. "Yes...would be a terrible thing if...well, yes. I do hope we find them." She sighed softly. "Strange..."

Sunclaw had an ear to the conversation.

Raineyes looked at the she-cat. "What? What is strange?"

Sassypelt shook her head. "Never mind. Forget it, it's not important." Her tone was unsure, thinly masked by disinterest.

Sunclaw, interested, made a point of turning around to face the she-cat. "What is it," she asked calmly.

Sassypelt halted abruptly to avoid colliding with the deputy, surprised at being confronted. But it was only a matter of time before you broke, Sunclaw...
"Well..." She looked at her paws then looked up shyly. "I was just thinking...all of these bad, bad things have happened. And I heard the others - the other Clan cats - talking about these bad things and..."

Sunclaw's eyes narrowed. "Clan cats talking about-" She shook her head. "We haven't seen the other Clan cats since the avalanche." Sunclaw spoke the word harshly, hating such an unnatural and heartless occurrence in nature. "They can't have spoken of these things before they happened..."
Or could they? Much to the deputy's dismay, this she-cat's words were making her mind race. It was an other Clan cat that started the snow-wall. It was an other Clan cat's words that convinced Stormstar, convinced me... But that would mean-

"The other Clan cats wanted to hurt us," Raineyes' shocked meow broke her concentration. "Why? What did we ever do to them?" He was angry and hurt and scared and he had to know why.

Sassypelt's eyes were big and sad, her voice wavering. "Well, I just...I heard them talking about the dream they all had...but it wasn't like they sad, bringing the moon home. It was..." Her voice dropped to a whisper. "Drenching the moon in blood!"
This it too easy.
"I didn't want this all to happen," she squeaked. "I didn't! I wanted to say something, I really wanted to, but they - they have my brother! They took him, hid him, and made me swear that I wouldn't tell, or they said they'd - " She trembled. "They're cruel."

Raineyes took a step back in shock and fear. "But - I-they- Them," his voice was suddenly filled with rage as he thought of his mate and kits and his Clan. They Other-Clanners would pay.

Sunclaw was visibly shaken by Sassypelt's words but she tried to think rationally.
The yellow she-cat looked Sassypelt over, taking in her terrified and guilty expression, the shaking tail, how low she was to the ground...She's serious.
"I'd thought that Sky-Moon had sent them their dream," she mewed softly. Sunclaw's gaze hardened. "But if they truly intended on harming us all, then I can no longer cling to that hope." She looked Sassypelt hard in the face. "We will not speak of this any further until we find the rest of MoonClan," she mewed gravely.
She looked at Raineyes, he who nodded quickly.

Sassypelt nodded, vowing silence. Changing the subject, she mewed, "Where do you think the others are?" There wasn't anything obvious saying that the MoonClan cats were nearby.

CLOSED Sunclaw and the Others Empty Re: CLOSED Sunclaw and the Others

Sunclaw opened her mouth and closed it.
"I..." She looked around. In reality, she'd just been wandering around hoping for some obvious something that would give away wherever her Clanmates were. "They're..."
"Probably not in this village-thing," Raineyes mewed glumly. "Everything's too..."
"Too strange," she meowed back, relieved. "They'd be on the outskirts. They'd be..." As the sun shifted, it suddenly became obvious to her. "There! They'd be out there, or close - " she pointed with her tail to a structure in the distance. Sunclaw curbed the excitement and relief in her voice (I'm no apprentice. I am the deputy and future leader of MoonClan.)

Raineyes sighed softly, noting that Sunclaw lacked foresight, but then realized that he sort of didn't care.
"Stormstar would want them out of the open, and out of the way, hiding in plain sight," Sunclaw broke his thoughts.
"MoonClan's mantra," Raineyes murmured grimly.
Sunclaw nodded, looking at the cats with her. "We'll go there. They'll be there." We'll save MoonClan. "Wait are you two waiting for? Let's go."
The yellow she-cat picked up her paws and loped in the direction of the structure, Raineyes on her heels as he realized that his mate and kits might be there too, finding that all thoughts of a frazzled Sunclaw gone.

Sassypelt could feel the very breath of her Goddess on the back of her neck as the two non-believers came to their conclusions.
MoonClan will be there. Sassypelt knew, without any doubt, that this was true.
My Goddess knows all... The tangle-pelted she-cat took off after the two MoonClanners, knowing that destiny awaited her.
