For Whom the Bell Tolls
Weeks, maybe moons had passed since Talon's vicious battle with his brother, Hawkfeather, yet it felt like yesterday. His wounds had since healed, and he had even managed to slide out of his collar, so he was somewhat wild-looking again. The twolegs hadn't even noticed, just patted him and let him be as if it had never happened.
Then the dream came.
At first, it was just a glimpse, passing through a dreamless sleep. A bloody battlefield, surrounded by many combatants, most unfamiliar. Yet, the place was familiar. The scents were the same, one stuck out most of all, yet he couldn't quite place it. Then the voices crept in, hinting at something sinister as the flashes increased in duration and frequency. Welcome to where time stands still, no one leaves, no one will... Moon is full, never seems to change, Just labeled mentally deranged... Once, he had explained it to himself, in the best way he could. War was coming, and he was supposed to be a part of it.
That all changed. Waking up on one fateful night, the loner caught a set of emerald green eyes staring at him, hard and challenging. "Talon. We have to go." The voice belonged to Hawkfeather. Revenge had been taken, now the war had begun. Leaping up, Talon followed his brother, racing out of the Two-leg suburbia, back to the clan lands, as the near-full moon shone overhead. Arcing lightning came from afar, seemingly guiding the two to their final destination. "We'll be there by sunhigh." Was all the brother said to Talon, before continuing his journey in complete and utter silence.

Dage was sound asleep to the nights cold breezes, and didn't notice her only friend had left, still severely injured to what the had remembered. She only tossed and turned against her soft bed, dreaming either something of amazement or fear. Her paws twitched and even at some moments became unsheathed, but her body lied still when the remembering scent of Hawkfeather bellowed.

The sound of footfalls was silent as the two cats padded through unfamiliar territory. The only sound was the slight crunch of fallen leaves that coated the ground. The two toms remained unspoken, and so, they detected an approaching cat's pawsteps. Then, there was Fern. The she-cat was every bit as beautiful as when they had left her last, and Talon couldn't help but feel a pang of some strange emotion.
Fern, on the other hand, felt differently. Talon absolutely drove her crazy. Nonetheless, she nodded and fell into step behind the toms on their mission. It was only safe to assume they all shared the dream. Now, the three cats were about to plunge deeper into the war then ever before.
